Overview
This Vendetta's Wrath build focuses on kiting enemies and performing very well in Solo PvP scenarios like the mists or even open world, with it's great ability to always stay on the move and without the need to cast. This great mobility also translates into good PVE potential as Flame Pillar's range is good to have, allowing you to clear camps in the mists with ease.
Equipment
Usage
Vendetta's Wrath
Searing Flame — As you want to always be on the move, this is the perfect Q ability to use. Hitting this 3 times will buff your 4th cast of the ability and increase its damage. Keep in mind however that even though this isn't a targeted ability, it is a single target ability and it wouldn't work how the abilities like Pyroblast do even if the spell looks similar.
Flame Blast — A great, versatile skill that can be used both offensively and as utility providing you a bit of extra movement speed. However, most of the time you want to use this ability on enemies. With it's instant cast time, you can start off the fight with it and use it on cooldown for movement and damage.
You should swap to Wall of Flames vs enemies that have to be in melee range to apply their damage as you can play around the wall and kite them quite easily that way.
Flame Pillar — This large AOE skill has a low cooldown to begin with and it can be lowered by 50% by simply hitting an enemy which makes it obvious that you want to hit as much as possible. Some practice might be needed as it has a small delay between casting the ability and the flame coming out of the ground, damaging whatever target caught into it.
Furious — This will passively increases your damage as you make use of all your abilities, the 10% increases is good to have!
Elder's Cleric Robe
Everlasting Spirit — While it takes good timing, Everlasting Spirit is a great defensive ability to help you mitigate a lot of burst damage. Make sure to use this while anticipating damage from auto-attacks or other abilities as the first hit you take during the short duration of the Everlasting Spirit will create the shield that makes you invulnerable and acts as a great defensive ability when you have your Wall of Flames on cooldown or right after you've already used it on a melee enemy.
Aggression — The passive offers you a great flat damage increase.
Elder's Hunter Hood
Retaliate — Another defensive option, Retaliate increases your damage resistance for a short duration while also reflecting 85% of incoming damage back to the attacker. You should try to use this against skills like Electric Field or other skills with high damage potential. Keep in mind that some abilities cannot be reflected (like Exploding Shot).
Balanced Mind — You want to choose this passive for the raw damage increase.
Elder's Soldier Boots
Rejuvenating Sprint — This remains one of the most popular runs in the game as it also recovers some of your HP during the run.
Toughness — This defensive option is preferred over Authority as the 5% CC duration doesn't help at all with this build.
Elder's Lymhurst Cape
Energy Reserve — With how mana hungry this build is, the Elder's Lymhurst Cape becomes an obvious choice as it offers you 80% of your max mana back once your mana reaches 40%.
Rotations
- You should kite while using Searing Flame to damage your enemy and bait out movement skills, making it easier for you to land your Flame Pillar. Meanwhile, you can use Flame Blast offensively, casting it on the enemy for the quick burst of damage while relying on your Rejuvenating Sprint to keep distance. Once you've baited enemy movement skills, you should find it easier to land your Flame Pillar.
Consumables
Major Gigantify Potion — The Major Gigantify Potion provides great value when trading damage or simply when you want to soak up some damage without using your Retaliate. You should also keep a Major Healing Potion in your inventory though as an option to help you win fights against enemies that rely on low, constant damage.
Pork Omelette — The omelette is a good choice as it offers great cooldown reduction for all your spells. Using a 7.1 is great as it offers you even more of the original stats without a great cost.
