Weaknesses
- Difficult to play well
Overview
This Bloodletter Open World PvP build performs very well in both Mists and Open World solo PvP, heavily relying on burning down your enemy before using the execution potential of Lunging Stabs. The Bloodletter mobility is hard to match and allows you to win versus many different matchups. The build is also very oppressive due to the use of Inner Corruption locking down the enemy from using their spells unless they are ready to take high damage with each use. While this build isn't particularly easy to play, it is incredible once mastered.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Bloodletter
Deadly Swipe — This is your main movement ability that applies an Assassin's Spirit Charge which increases your damage by 6% and stacks up to 3 times. You should use this ability on cooldown in order to keep repositioning yourself and dodging enemy abilities, constantly kiting and wasting enemy cooldowns. Try to hit mobs whenever possible in order to keep up your Assassin's Spirit Charges but don't make it a big priority, focus on using it to kite.
Dash — This is your secondary kiting ability and allows you incredible mobility, really helping with making the build shine in PvP encounters. With a rather long range, the skill is perfect when chasing enemies and setting up for Electric Field, remaining glued to your enemy throughout the whole spell.
Lunging Stabs — This is your finishing skill and the main skill you will use to finish off targets after making use of both Electric Field and Inner Corruption to burn down your enemies to under 40% for a clean execution. You can use this skill to do extra damage during a long fight but the main purpose is using it to finish off enemies.
Deep Cuts — This is a constant bleed you apply when auto-attacking enemies and the damage really ramps up as you keep doing it. It's more powerful when using the Elder's Torch as you have higher attack speed but it still remains a good choice regardless.
Elder's Stalker Jacket
Electric Field — This is the main damage of your build and the main ability you use to burn down your enemies before executing. The AoE surrounds you and you should use your superior mobility to stay on top of the enemy while they are under the effect of Inner Corruption. Most of your enemies will try to run away when Inner Corruption is casted on them but you should be more than capable of sticking to them due to your great mobility.
Balanced Mind — This passive not only increases both your damage and healing but also your defense. Every bit of damage matters and this is the only good choice.
Elder's Cultist Cowl
Inner Corruption — One of the most oppressive skills in the game, it allows you to lock down an enemy by forcing them to take damage when casting spells. Always try to use this at the beginning of a fight in order to stop them into either responding by using their skills and taking large amounts of damage, or run away.
Balanced Mind — This passive not only boosts your damage but also gives you a small defense increase. All damage is important for this build so it's an obvious choice.
Elder's Sandals of Purity
Energetic Sprint — This run ability allows you to regain mana and keep your mana cost under control while also offering a great amount of movement speed that helps you catch up with enemies. Hover is also a decent option as it's low cooldown and the immunity to roots can help with certain matchups with CC heavy enemies.
Aggression — Aggression provides flat extra damage which is exactly what you need but also the only choice that makes sense.
Elder's Undead Cape
Vanisher — This cape automatically procs and make you invisible if you hit 15% HP, boosting your survivability during fights and allowing you to get away from lost fights. Keep in mind that it only activates at 15% HP and always try to be above that or atleast watch your HP to know when it will activate. Use this coupled with your Dash, Deadly Swipe and Lunging Stabs to get away and mount back up before your opponent catches you.
Rotations
- Once you and your enemy are both dismounted, use Deadly Swipe to catch up or stay on top of them before using Inner Corruption to debuff them and force them to either fight or stay and fight. If they choose to run, use Dash to remain on top of them and pop Electric Field to deliver strong, constant damage. Use your Deadly Swipe to remain on top of them as much as possible while also boosting your damage each time you hit, burning their HP constantly. Repeat this until they are below 40% when you should use Lunging Stabs to finish them off.
Consumables
Major Healing Potion — The Major Healing Potion allows you to sustain yourself while trading damage with your enemies, its the perfect potion to use as the build has no other way to heal, relying on kiting and quick bursts of damage.
Deadwater Eel Stew — This food offers you the best mix of extra damage and cooldown rate helping with using your abilities often in every fight. When coupled with Elder's Mistcaller, your cooldowns will be so short that your mobility becomes impossible to match.
