Overview
The Elder's Dagger build is a great choice for solo content as it is easy to get into and doesn't require much game knowledge as it has simple rotation and can be played well even by new players. It performs well in both Corrupted Dungeons and Solo Mists but you can also use this build in open world as a solo player.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Dagger
Deadly Swipe — This is your primary movement ability that gives you an Assassin's Spirit Charge, boosting your damage by 6%, stacking up to 3 times. Use it whenever it's ready to keep moving and dodging enemy attacks, constantly avoiding and wasting their abilities. Try to hit enemies to maintain your Assassin's Spirit Charges, but focus on using it to keep moving.
Shadow Edge — This is a great mobility skill but it has to be used offensively. Use this to latch onto an enemy and pull yourself to them while also stunning. This is also your main skill to catch up with enemies that have superior movement. You can swap Shadow Edge for Dash if you are trying to rat.
Bloodthirsty Blade — This is your main DPS ability and the main way you do damage to your target once you caught up to them. Keep in mind that once you activate this, you will constantly lose HP and you have to keep attacking an enemy to get it back up so try to always use this when you are sure that the enemy can't just kite away from you while you have this active. Always use Purifying Smoke to remove the buffs that would otherwise stop your damage.
Aggressive Rush — The passive triggers every time you do 4 auto-attacks and grants you a bit of extra damage which is good to have.
Elder's Hunter Jacket
Haste — Use this skill to boost your damage by 20% while also increasing your attack speed, pairing well with your Bloodthirsty Blade as it increases your overall damage by a lot! Try to always keep this for the moment when you use Bloodthirsty Blade and don't waste it on anything else.
Balanced Mind — The damage increase is nice to have as it increases the damage of all your abilities.
Elder's Helmet of Valor
Purifying Smoke — A very versatile skill that can be used both offensively and defensively. While the main use is to remove enemy buffs that would reflect or deny your Bloodthirsty Blade damage, you can also use this to save yourself from possible CC or other debuffs. You can also purge the run skills of your enemies with this if you hit it and this allows you to build distance or retreat.
Toughness — This passive gives you a bit of extra defense and its the only one that makes sense.
Elder's Cleric Sandals
Energetic Sprint — While any other cheap cloth boots will do, Elder's Cleric Sandals are usually cheap enough and gives you mana every time you use the run, helping a lot with your energy management while also keeping alow cooldown run ability.
Aggression — Even more damage! Its an obvious choise as it helps with your TTK.
Elder's Lymhurst Cape
Energy Reserve — The Elder's Lymhurst Cape is by far the best choice as you need plenty of energy. Couple this with Energetic Sprint and you will have trouble running out of energy.
Rotations
- You want to start the rotation with as many Assassin Spirit Charges as you can, using Deadly Swipe if you have the opportunity to do so. Use Shadow Edge to catch your enemy and then follow up by buffing yourself with Haste. Follow up with Bloodthirsty Blade while auto-attacking the enemy to death. Your Purifying Smoke should be used if they are using a defensive skill that negates or reflects your damage or to purge run skills. You can also use your Energetic Sprint in order to remain on top of your enemy if they try to kite away from you.
Consumables
Major Healing Potion — The Major Healing Potion allows you to sustain yourself while trading damage with your enemies or even after that if you are being kited. You can also use a Major Gigantify Potion against certain builds that have high burst damage.
Deadwater Eel Stew — This food provides a balanced mix of increased damage and cooldown reduction, enabling you to use your abilities more frequently in combat.
