- Easy to play
Weaknesses
- Low Mobility
Overview
This Elder's Wildfire Staff build offers great single target DPS coupled with decently AOE burst damage from the Magma Sphere and Raging Flare. It remains one of the easier builds to play for new players and offers a good choice for all players looking to learn to DPS in Albion PvE content. This build performs well in most group settings like Group Dungeons, Avalonian Roads or Hardcore Expeditions but you are better off using something else if you are looking to DPS in Avalonian Dungeons.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Wildfire Staff
Fire Bolt — This is your main DPS skill, it launches a fire bolt on your target dealing damage but also setting them on fire, placing a DoT that stacks up to 5 times. While this skill is single target, the use of Aggressive Caster paired with Mark of the Raven makes the Fire Bolt do high damage, allowing you to kill a target quickly before moving on to the next one.
Raging Flare — This skill is one of your two AOE skills and can be used on cooldown after the tank in your group pulled a mob pack, it deals high damage and also deals good DoT damage after the initial hit. Try to hit as many enemies as possible when using this skill!
Magma Sphere — This skill isn't all that different from Raging Flare but instead it launches a fire ball that rolls through enemies and deals high damage. Just like Raging Flare, you want to use this on cooldown in order to maximize your DPS.
Aggressive Caster — You should play around this passive as much as possible as it increases your cast speed every time you cast 4 skills. This will be triggered automatically as your rotation is mostly Fire Bolt spam.
Elder's Druid Robe
Obsessive Burst — This ability allows you to do extra damage and greatly increases your damage. This should be the first ability you use before doing your rotation as each skill you cast adds one stack of Obsessive Burst and increases your damage.
Aggression — The perfect passive choice as it increases your flat damage.
Elder's Royal Cowl
Perpetual Energy — Another important skill in your kit, this ability helps a lot with your mana sustain. Because of its relative low cooldown and long duration. You should use this before triggering Mark of the Raven so you don't lose any mana when bursting down targets using Fire Bolt.
Aggression — This passive grants you extra damage which is perfect for the build.
Elder's Shoes of Tenacity
Blind Spot — The main use is that it deals extra damage the first time you do damage after activating it and you should use this on cooldown to boost your DPS.
Balanced Mind — Just another damage increasing passive.
Elder's Morgana Cape
Mark of the Raven — This cape skill pairs perfectly with Aggressive Caster and increases your cast speed even more whenever you trigger it using Magma Sphere.
Rotations
- Start off by using Blind Spot so the next time you do damage you deal some extra. Follow up with Obsessive Burst and Perpetual Energy so you icrease your damage and make all your abilities cost 0 mana. Follow up with Raging Flare to do a bit of AOE damage to the mobs before using Magma Sphere and triggering Mark of the Raven. Once Mark of the Raven is triggered, you want to spam cast Fire Bolt on targets while using Raging Flare on cooldown.
Consumables
Major Poison Potion — The poison has many uses but most important use would be onto bosses in order to both do damage and also decrease their defenses. Try to use a t6 version if you are tackling tier 7+ content. You can get away with using a t4 otherwise.
Pork Omelette — Only good choice for food, the Pork Omelette decreases your cooldowns and also increases your cast speed, that for improving your DPS. Use at least a 7.1 version if you do higher tier content.
