Keep in mind: Gear shown in this build is meant as a reference. Choosing the correct tier of gear is very tricky as there are many variables. Some of them being your budget, your spec and minimum Item Power requirements of your guild if used for ZvZ.

You should always check prices based on IP of the items. For example, a masterpiece quality 4.3 Elder's CryptcandleElder's Cryptcandle could be cheaper while providing roughly the same IP as an 8.0.

Usage

Elder's Double Bladed StaffElder's Double Bladed Staff

Whirling StrikesWhirling Strikes — This is your main damaging ability alongside auto-attacks that stacks up your Force PulseForce Pulse. Hitting an enemy with this ability will lower its cooldown (this buff can stack up to 3 times) and further lower the already low cooldown.

Stun RunStun Run — With this being your main CC ability, you want to awlays make use of this when starting up a fight. Landing a hit while this ability is active will stun the target and allow you to transition into Electric FieldElectric Field while also guaranteeing a Whirling StrikesWhirling Strikes. You can also use Stun RunStun Run as a kiting tool, helping you kite easier.

Soaring SwipeSoaring Swipe — The perfect ability for both kiting with it's high range jump but also for slowing down enemies trying to run away from you. Because of its low cooldown, it can help a lot when you are locking down a target and forcing them to take damage from Electric FieldElectric Field.

EnergeticEnergetic — Due to the serious mana issues this build can run into, this passive is the only choice that makes sense. Thankfully, the Elder's Double Bladed StaffElder's Double Bladed Staff has a quick auto-attack rate and allows you to regain energy quite easily.

Elder's Stalker JacketElder's Stalker Jacket

Electric FieldElectric Field — This is a big part of your build and the main ability you use to burn down your enemies that are slowed down by Soaring SwipeSoaring Swipe or stunned with Stun RunStun Run. The AoE surrounds you and you stay on top of the enemy while they are under the effect of Inner CorruptionInner Corruption as they cannot return damage without taking even more.

Quick ThinkerQuick Thinker — Even though your abilities have low cooldowns, this passive still helps a lot as it decreases the cooldowns even more. Another option would be Balanced MindBalanced Mind for the damage increase.

Elder's Cultist CowlElder's Cultist Cowl

Inner CorruptionInner Corruption — This is one of the most powerful abilities for 1v1 PVP fights by forcing them to take damage when casting spells. Couple this with the constant slows and stuns when using the Double Bladed Staff and you have an incredible burst damage capable of taking down most targets. You should use this before an enemy uses any of his abilities as many don't realize the debuff is placed on them and will use abilities instead of kiting away.

Balanced MindBalanced Mind — This passive not only boosts your damage but also gives you a small defense increase which is nice to have.

Elder's Scholar SandalsElder's Scholar Sandals

Energetic SprintEnergetic Sprint — This run ability allows you to regain mana and keep your mana cost under control while also offering a great amount of movement speed that helps you catch up with enemies. With Scholar Sandals being rather cheap even at higher tier due to how common they are.

AggressionAggression — Aggression provides flat extra damage which works great for the build.

Elder's Avalonian CapeElder's Avalonian Cape

Force PulseForce Pulse — This works a lot like the Elder's Thetford CapeElder's Thetford Cape but with a much longer cooldown and with more. It activates automatically when you use an auto-attack and detonates after a very brief charge-up, releasing AOE damage all around you.

  • Start off by using your Energetic SprintEnergetic Sprint if your target tries to kite and couple that with Stun RunStun Run to further increase your movement speed and help you catch up. Once you land the Stun RunStun Run, your next auto attack will trigger your Force PulseForce Pulse and deliver damage on its own while you activate Electric FieldElectric Field as the target is still stunned. Follow up with Whirling StrikesWhirling Strikes for more damage and apply Inner CorruptionInner Corruption just as they are free of the stun. Use Soaring SwipeSoaring Swipe to slow them down and keep them under your Electric FieldElectric Field while constantly auto-attacking and using Whirling StrikesWhirling Strikes on cooldown.

Consumables

Major Healing PotionMajor Healing Potion — The Major Healing PotionMajor Healing Potion allows you to sustain yourself while trading damage with your enemies, its the perfect potion to use as the build has no other way to heal and this will allow you to take more fights than normally. Invisibility PotionInvisibility Potion is also a good option as it pairs well with your high mobility.

Deadwater Eel StewDeadwater Eel Stew — This food provides a balanced mix of increased damage and cooldown reduction, enabling you to use your abilities more frequently in combat.
