Equipment
Usage
Elder's Quarterstaff
Whirling Strikes — This is your main damaging ability alongside auto-attacks that trigger Force Pulse. Hitting an enemy with this ability will lower its cooldown (this buff can stack up to 3 times) and further lower the already low cooldown. Aim to use this as much as possible during a fight, essentially using it on cooldown in order to overwhelm your enemy with the sheer damage.
Stun Run — With this being your main CC ability, you want to awlays make use of this when starting up a fight. Landing a hit while this ability is active will stun the target and allow you to transition into Electric Field while also guaranteeing a Whirling Strikes. You can also use Stun Run as a kiting tool due to the movement speed increase, helping you kite easier and chase down enemies.
Vault Leap — This ability deals great damage even though it requires a bit of setup as the leap has a long animation before the damage is delivered. You should always try to use this after using Stun Run in order to guarantee hitting it. With its low cooldown, this can also be used as a mobility skill!
Energetic — Due to the serious mana issues this build can run into, this passive is the only choice that makes sense. Thankfully, the Elder's Quarterstaff has a quick auto-attack rate and allows you to regain energy quite easily.
Elder's Stalker Jacket
Electric Field — This is a big part of your build and the main ability you use to burn down your enemies that stunned with Stun Run and you can easily follow up with Vault Leap in order to knock up enemies and continue the DPS.
Balanced Mind — You want all damage you can get on this build in order to boost your kill potential.
Elder's Cultist Cowl
Inner Corruption — This is one of the most powerful abilities for 1v1 PVP fights by forcing them to take damage when casting spells. Couple this with the constant pressure offered by Whirling Strikes and Stun Run and this build becomes a real threat.
Balanced Mind — This passive not only boosts your damage but also gives you a small defense increase which is nice to have.
Elder's Scholar Sandals
Energetic Sprint — This run ability allows you to regain mana and keep your mana cost under control while also offering a great amount of movement speed that helps you catch up with enemies. You can exchange these sandals for something else only if you also change your cape for a Elder's Lymhurst Cape but that will lower your damage.
Another option would be the Elder's Assassin Shoes for the CD decrease.
Aggression — Aggression provides flat extra damage which works well.
Elder's Avalonian Cape
Force Pulse — This works a lot like the Elder's Thetford Cape but with a much longer cooldown and with more. It activates automatically when you use an auto-attack and detonates after a very brief charge-up, releasing AOE damage all around you.
Rotations
- Start off by using your Stun Run to stun your target and make sure to auto-attack once to trigger your Force Pulse. Once you land the Stun Run, you should activate Electric Field as the target is still stunned. Follow up with Vault Leap for more damage and to knock them up, forcing them to remain CC'd and take damage from Electric Field. Use Inner Corruption just as they are free of the stun to deny them from using abilities unless they want to take damage. Most targets will want to run at this point and thats why you should spam your Whirling Strikes on cooldown while chasing after them using the combination of Energetic Sprint and Stun Run.
Consumables
Major Healing Potion — The Major Healing Potion allows you to sustain yourself while trading damage with your enemies, its the perfect potion to use as the build has no other way to heal and this will allow you to take more fights than normally. Invisibility Potion is also a good option as it pairs well with your high mobility.
Deadwater Eel Stew — This food provides a balanced mix of increased damage and cooldown reduction, enabling you to use your abilities more frequently in combat and keep superior mobility thanks to your Stun Run.
