- Great Utility
- Good Self and Group Heal
- Squishy
Overview
This Leveling Cleric Build focuses on leveling either alone or in a group thanks to the incredible AOE DPS the Cleric can put out through abilities like Divine Flare and Consecrating Wave. The Cleric remains one of the strongest healers in the game with a simple kit thats easy to learn compared to the various buffs and debuffs you need to keep track of when playing Bard. This makes the Cleric a fantastic choice for new players in particular while also being a very important key figure in all group content.

Stamina
As a Cleric and especially while leveling either in group or in solo play, avoid focusing on Sustained Guard, as your primary strategy relies on dodging and sprinting. Instead, start by prioritizing Escape Velocity to boost your sprinting speed in combat (default key C). This becomes essential later on, allowing you to kite enemies during cooldowns or escape danger quickly.
Next, invest in Recuperation Training and Evasive Maneuver to increase your dodge evasion rate. These upgrades also unlock Springstep, significantly enhancing your mobility by improving dodge distance.
Finally, use any remaining points on Guard Training to lower stamina costs when blocking (default key E). Adding Mental Fortification can also be useful, as it reduces your chance of being crowd-controlled (CC’d) while blocking, which can help in specific situations.
Rotations
- This is the main rotation you should use when grinding mobs and AOE farming in order to level up quickly. Especially powerful when solo, but also very strong when in a group. Make sure you have Bless Weapon active on yourself at all times as it adds a lot of extra damage to your attacks.
- Once you've gathered mobs together using your Book auto-attacks, you should switch your weapon to the melee Greatsword so you can hit all mobs at once with your auto-attacks between casting abilities, constantly dealing extra damage between skills. Cast a quick Soothing Glow for some healing to negate damage taken and healing yourself. Channel Chains of Restraint on top of all mobs before using Consecrating Wave to deal AOE damage.
- Continue the rotation with Judgment on whatever mob is still at high HP before using Soothing Glow to maintain your health. Finish off the mobs with Divine Flare.
- Use this quick rotation to kill single mobs. Make sure that you have Bless Weapon active before doing anything else though! You should be using this whole rotation in melee range using a Greatsword.
- Use Soothing Glow to apply a HoT (Healing over Time) buff on yourself before using Smite in melee range so you negate the cast time. Use Judgment next with Consecrating Wave to kill off the mob.
