Inkwell Fan & Soulshade Umbrella PvP Build
- Good for Group Play
- Very Easy to Play
- Easy to Heal
- No Ressurection
- Low-ish DPS
Overview
This Where Winds Meet setup uses the
Soulshade Umbrella with the
Inkwell Fan and is strong enough to pair into a PVP group seeking to do 5vs5, prison breaks or even guild battles, acting as a great initiator and mid-range fighter while also offering some healing.
You mainly rely on the
Inkwell Fan to deal damage from a distance or air juggle players to engage for your party, while
Echoes of a Thousand Plants keeps your team healed with very little effort. This lets you focus on positioning and staying with the frontline of your party, healing them as you fight. In solo pvp content, the build requires a lot of patience as you have to play around your
Jadewind Shield, comboing the
Peak's Springless Silence for quick damage and pulling back and away, resetting the fight constantly.
Martial Arts
Gear
Stats Priority
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Rainwhisper + Moonflare set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Evasive Charge is very strong for staying safe. It lets you dodge more often and refunds endurance when you Perfect Dodge, making it much harder for enemies to lock you down. For healing power,
Restoring Blossom is great as it adds extra healing power and is great overall.
Flying Gourds is another important PVP Inner Way as it adds a second
Peak's Springless Silence so you can double down and combo multiple times with ease. Finally,
Morale Chant remains the core Inner Way. Every hit or heal increases both your damage and healing, and with two Fans it is very easy to keep stacks up at all times.
Mystic Skills
Serene Breeze is your must-have PvP skill. It breaks you out of CC, lets you escape combos, and reset fights or simply get out so you can heal back up. Not using it is a huge disadvantage. For ranged pressure,
Meridian Touch pokes safely and allows you to Execute low HP enemies by doing it quickly as your character moves in against the other player.
Dragon's Breath adds burn damage to single targets or groups, keeping constant pressure while playing defensively and applying pressure by forcing enemies to either take burn damage or back off, particularly useful in choke points.
To punish aggressive players,
Talon Strike and
Yaksha Rush knock enemies down and go through block.
Leaping Toad on the other hand can be used in the same way while also spreading staggerning poison.
Cloud Steps helps you reposition or close gaps quickly but can be blocked so don't spam it.
Golden Body adds protection and Fortitude, and it can extend to nearby allies if needed.
Rotations
- Start by jumping in on top of a player with
Peak's Springless Silence, then follow up with
Moon Shatter Spring to knock the enemy down after airjuggling them and doing damage. Use
Dragon's Breath next to apply burn damage and protect yourself from incoming attacks. After that, deploy
Jadewind Shield to block the enemy and attack from range with Light Attacks while kiting, waiting for
Peak's Springless Silence to come off cooldown.
Echoes of a Thousand Plants: Make sure that this is up at all times, or at least as often as possible in order to heal yourself and others while fighting.
Floating Grace: Use this whenever your team is about to engage or when you need some extra damage.
