Nameless Spear & Inkwell Fan PvE Build
- Good Damage
- Good Mobility
- Easy to Play
- Can be boring to play
- Not as high damage as other options
Overview
The
Nameless Spear is great for players who want an easier playstyle in Where Winds Meet. Its charged skills do not need tricky combos, so you can deal good damage with very little effort.
With
Jadewind Shield, you can control how close other players get to you. If you keep your distance, enemies will have a hard time reaching you, giving you time to swap to the
Nameless Spear and land
Qiankun's Lock to win the trade. For extra CC,
Peak's Springless Silence knocks enemies into the air and sets up easy follow-ups. It also works well with
Yaksha Rush or
Wolflike Frenzy for more air combos.
The
Inkwell Fan also brings
Forsaken Fame, a strong CC skill that launches enemies upward, letting you extend the combo without trouble.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Veil of the Willow + Beyond the Chill set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
To increase your damage on airborne targets,
Star Reacher is a strong choice but can be swapped out for
Fivefold Bleed on bosses. It boosts Airborne Damage and gets even better when upgraded. For more overall DPS,
Adaptive Steel works very well because it makes your attacks ignore enemy armor adding extra damage to your spear.
Mountain's Might is also important since it reduces endurance cost and makes your
Nameless Spear do more damage by being able to use its skills more often without draining your whole endurance bar. And like many builds in the game,
Morale Chant remains one of the best Inner Ways. Every hit you land raises your damage, helping you build steady DPS throughout each fight.
Mystic Skills
For groups of enemies,
Ghost Bind is one of your strongest skills because it pulls mobs into one spot, making it easy to hit them with big AoE attacks.
Against single targets,
Talon Strike is useful since it knocks enemies down, lets you follow up with moves like
Soaring Spin, and helps break their Qi bar so you can finish them off faster.
For boss fights,
Leaping Toad is a great option. Its poison damage builds up over time, and when upgraded, it spreads to nearby enemies and causes extra explosive hits for more AoE.
For combo damage,
Dragon's Breath is strong because of its burn effect. It can be followed up with
Drunken Poet right after, each hit creates more burn explosions and gives you time to recover stamina while still dealing good damage.
Rotations
- Close the distance to the boss with
Peak's Springless Silence before using
Dragon's Breath to apply a burning dot effect that will tick down boss HP over time.
- Use
Qiankun's Lock get some endurance and lower endurance cost before using
Legion Crusher to deal damage. Use
Storm Dance next as a full cast until you run out of Endurance then use
Dragon's Breath again to refresh the buff. Finish off the rotation by using
Drunken Poet to deal damage and stack up the debuff further while regaining stamina.
