Nameless Spear & Thundercry Blade PvE Build
- Easy to Play
- High AOE damage
- Very Tanky
- Good Sustain
- Slow
- Not great against bosses
Overview
In this build you combine the
Nameless Spear for high single target damage and good CC skill with
Thundercry Blade's tankiness coupled with its high AOE damage thanks to the charged skills. This is the perfect build for someone looking to tank while also dealing good damage. While the build is quite stationary, it does very well in all group PVE content like Sword Trials, Hero Realm and of course the solo exploration side of Where Winds Meet.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Morale Chant is a great pick for increasing your DPS since every hit can boost your damage, and it’s also one of the strongest damage Inner Ways in Where Winds Meet. For defense, you should get
Trapped Beast as it adds a big shield whenever your HP goes low enough, giving plenty of time for healers to top you up. Use
Exquisite Scenery to boost overall damage as it lets you use your Charged Heavy Attack.
Mystic Skills
Cloud Steps is a helpful mobility skill to jump between targets and while it does a bit of damage (even more on mounted targets), it’s mainly used for movement and getting close to enemies more easily but you can also combo it with the
Guardian Palm for some good AOE damage.
Wolflike Frenzy is good for dealing damage while bosses are knocked down, or you can use it to knock enemies down.
Dragon's Breath also very strong as a DOT skill to keep up, debuffing enemies and dealing extra damage over time. Use Deflect afterward to cancel the animation and let the fire tick once its applied.
Once the boss/enemy is burning with
Dragon's Breath, follow up with
Drunken Poet for even more damage.
Soaring Spin works well as a gap closer and quick damage tool, often used in a similar way to
Cloud Steps.
Blinding Mist is perfect for dealing with groups of mobs quickly but it costs a lot of vitality so make sure not to waste it.
Rotations
- Start by using
Predator's Shield to buff yourself and use the shield while charging up skills. Continue by using
Sunrush Gale to pull mobs together or start aggro on the boss then use
Galecloud Cleave coupled with
Avalanche to deal AOE damage against all of them. Swap out with
Dual-Weapon Skill and then use
Qiankun's Lock followed by
Legion Crusher so you can then use
Storm Dance quicker. Make sure to channel the entire duration of
Storm Dance if you can for maximum damage.
