Stormbreaker Spear & Strategic Sword PvE Build
- Good Buffs
- Easy to Play
- Good Mobility
- Very Tanky
- No Healing
- Boring to Play
Overview
The
Stormbreaker Spear is one of the only tanking weapons in the game and the perfect weapon to pair with the
Strategic Sword for a tanky build that can also deal good damage while remaining close to the boss in PVE group content like Trials and Hero's Realm in order to keep the boss aggro and still do very good. Eventhough this build is easy to get into, it performs best when mastered by a more experienced player that played Where Winds Meet enough.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Morale Chant is a great Inner Way even for a tanking build, a fantastic choice for boosting DPS as every hit has a high chance to increase damage. Using
Sword Horizon is a must for the
Strategic Sword as it increases the lengths of your attacks, extending both
Inner Track Slash and
Inner Balance Strike III. The
Battle Anthem is very important as well as it increases damage done with Charged Skills, pairing with the damage buff of
Fury Spear.
Of course, a defensive Inner Way is important to have and the
Trapped Beast is a no-brainer, offering a HP shield buff whenever your HP goes low, giving plenty of time for healers to top you back up.
Mystic Skills
Use
Ghost Bind to freeze enemies so you can group them together for big AOE damage with the
Leaping Toad and
Lion's Roar combo.
Soaring Spin is a strong damage skill on its own, hitting hard and fast with both strikes while it can still be cancelled using Deflect if the boss walks away or you need to reposition.
Dragon's Breath is also a great DOT option, especially when paired with
Drunken Poet, which gains even more power once upgraded, making it
Drunken Poet trigger explosions on a target that has the
Dragon's Breath debuff.
Rotations
- Begin the rotation with
Dragon's Breath so you put a burning dot on the boss before using
Inner Track Slash to put up bleeds and deal high damage before swapping weapons with
Dual-Weapon Skill.
- Once in the
Stormbreaker Spear, use
Storm Roar to taunt the boss before using
Fury Spear to deal damage, repeat this one again for some extra damage then swap back to the
Strategic Sword. Use
Inner Balance Strike III into a
Soaring Spin then another
Inner Balance Strike III +
Inner Track Slash.
- Continue the rotation with another swap (
Dual-Weapon Skill) back into the
Stormbreaker Spear to do
Thunder Shock and
Fury Spear along with
Drunken Poet to get some stamina back and deal extra fire damage.
