Infernal Twinblades & Soulshade Umbrella PvP Build
- Easy to Play
- Good Healing
- Good Damage
- Low Skill Ceiling
- Can be boring to play
- Low Healing in Arena
Overview
This setup is ideal for newer players who want to try out PVP in Where Winds Meet. While it doesn't do as much damage as other builds and doesn't have the CC options, it still offers good healing to yourself and nearby allies, largely thanks to the sustain provided by the
Soulshade Umbrella. While its healing output can’t match a build that also uses the
Panacea Fan, the umbrella still offers reliable self-healing and even supports teammates in group PvP scenarios like guild fights, etc, making it into a decent off-healer. Paired with the fast light-attack damage and extended weapon strings of the
Infernal Twinblades, this build has the potential of stunlocking enemy players just through the
Infernal Twinblades rotation.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Ivorybloom + Whirlsnow set combo if you cannot get your hands on Eaglerise + Rainwhisper, but this is the main goal.
Inner Way
For defense and survivability, include
Trapped Beast, which triggers a shield whenever your HP drops low, giving you a chance to survive incoming combos. Add extra damage and healing with
Echoes of Oblivion and
Restoring Blossom, as they enhance the healing of the
Soulshade Umbrella and let you shred enemy armor with
Infernal Twinblades light attacks. Round out your build with
Morale Chant, a major DPS booster that increases both your damage and healing with every hit, especially when combined with
Echoes of a Thousand Plants.
Mystic Skills
Serene Breeze is the most important skill in PVP because it breaks you out of CC chains and gives you a chance to turn the fight around.
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are useful for crowd control since they can knock enemies down, but
Talon Strike is harder to land and deals low damage, however, it also goes through block which makes it a very important skill when fighting block spamming players.
Cloud Steps is effective for surprising enemies and closing distance, as it is hard to dodge (but can be blocked).
Dragon's Breath works well for quick damage in combos or to defend against rushing enemies.
Meridian Touch provides extra ranged damage and can be used to trick opponents or used to Execute from range.
Golden Body is strong for defense despite its high vitality cost, as it also grants Fortitude (CC immunity).
Rotations
- Pre-buff yourself with
Floating Grace then pop up the
Soulshade Umbrella for constant healing by using
Echoes of a Thousand Plants. Make sure to also re-apply
Echoes of a Thousand Plants whenever it runs out.
- Look for an option to catch an enemy with
Addled Mind, follow up with a full light-attack combo then use
Addled Mind again before doing it all over again 2 more times until you run out of
Addled Mind.
- Continue the rotation with
Calamity's Greed and
Free Morph before backing off and using
Flamelash to gain CC immunity and go into another combo.
