Mortal Rope Dart & Soulshade Umbrella PvE Build
- Good Mobility
- Good Healing
- CC Immunity
- Easy to Play
- Squishy
- Low Range
- Requires Setup for Good DPS
Overview
In this build, the
Mortal Rope Dart makes use of the passive healing from
Soulshade Umbrella to create a mix of a healer and a DPS, capable of dealing good damage while still providing plenty of healing to itself and other allies in range. This build is great for both solo PVE content like exploring the Where Winds Meet world and also getting involved into Group PVE in form of Sword Trials, Hero's Realm, etc. While this build isn't as powerful as a true healer, it is more than capable to help allies stay alive.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Rainwhisper + Moonflare set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Morale Chant is one of the best Inner Ways for boosting both damage and healing, since it’s easy to stack and stays active thanks to
Echoes of a Thousand Plants constantly healing you and your allies while it’s up.
Vendetta is also a strong choice for maintaining your Tokens of Gratitude (this is the resource needed to summon your rat to attack), as it allows you to regenerate them through
Bladebound Thread. Use
Breaking Point for extra damage and Critical Hit Rate once leveled..
Mystic Skills
With the
Mortal Rope Dart serving as the main damage weapon of the build, you’ll also rely heavily on powerful Mystic Skills to maximize your DPS. Use
Ghost Bind to freeze enemies and group them together, setting up high AOE damage with the
Leaping Toad and
Lion's Roar combo—especially useful outside of boss fights or during boss add phases.
Soaring Spin is a strong standalone option, dealing quick, high damage with both hits. Meanwhile,
Dragon's Breath is an excellent DOT skill, often paired with
Drunken Poet for extra burst once
Drunken Poet is upgraded.
Rotations
- Once you've activated your
Echoes of a Thousand Plants, swap back into the
Mortal Rope Dart. Start the damaging part of the rotation by using
Dragon's Breath on the boss to apply a dot and setup for later into the rotation. Prebuff with
Rodent Rampage before using
Bladebound Thread, going into using Light Attacks until the Rodent Rampage buff ends.
- Follow up with
Soaring Spin to deal extra damage then go ahead with
Drunken Poet into another
Dragon's Breath before resetting the rotation once more with
Rodent Rampage and
Bladebound Thread.
