Thundercry Blade & Mortal Rope Dart PvP Build
- Easy to Play
- Good AOE DPS
- CC Immunity & Heals
- Shields
- Takes time to get used to
- Cluttered visuals
- Easily Countered
Overview
This is a very defensive build that performs well due to
Mortal Rope Dart having CC immunity while
Thundercry Blade offers a great shield with
Predator's Shield, making the build very difficult to deal with and kill as the CC immunity on most skills coupled with
Sunrush Gale catching enemies and forcing them to take full damage while being difficult to counter. While this build is good for arena, it truly shines in group pvp scenarios where you can setup kills for your team with ease.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Rainwhisper + Formbend set combo. You can use Moonflare for armor until Formbend becomes available. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Trapped Beast is a very strong PVP Inner Way to boost survivability and add another layer of defense so you don't die during combos where you would've died otherwise.
Morale Chant is an excellent DPS boost, since every hit can raise your damage, and it’s one of the strongest damage Inner Ways in the game.
Exquisite Scenery is great for reducing how much you rely on charged attacks, letting you deal damage more consistently.
Seasonal Edge also fits perfectly, giving extra damage every time you swap weapons with
Dual-Weapon Skill.
Mystic Skills
Serene Breeze is one of the most important skills, as it breaks you out of CC chains.
Cloud Steps is great for catching enemies off guard and closing the gap quickly.
Dragon's Breath works well at the end of combos to apply an extra DoT and stop enemies from making a comeback.
Cloud Steps also gives strong mobility for jumping between targets, while
Yaksha Rush can pierce through Block and punish opponents who are holding it.
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are solid CC knock-down options since both can knock enemies down, though
Talon Strike is harder to land and doesn’t deal much damage.
Meridian Touch is useful for chip damage and can also be used to finish off enemies from range if you follow up right after casting it.
Rotations
- You can bait enemies using
Rodent's Resilience while keeping CC immunity but its not required. Follow up with
Bladebound Thread.
- Go ahead then by using
Predator's Shield to buff yourself and keep the shield active while you wait for the enemy to engage. You’re strongest when you play defensively. After that, use
Sunrush Gale to pull the enemy in and deal damage, then go into
Yaksha Rush and follow it with
Free Morph for high damage. If the enemy tries to escape, transition into
Soaring Spin to stay on them. You can animation cancel the second hit of
Soaring Spin and use
Dragon's Breath afterward to stay safe while still pressuring the enemy and denying a comeback.
