Thundercry Blade & Panacea Fan PvP Build
- Access to Healing and Revive
- Easy to Play
- Difficult to Kill
- Boring to play
- Slow
Overview
Using
Thundercry Blade with
Panacea Fan creates one of the tankiest builds in Where Winds Meet. It works well in every PvP mode. Whether it's 1v1 arenas and duels or large group fights. This setup lets you stay alive for a long time, heal yourself, and even heal teammates.
The playstyle is slow, but the damage is still strong enough to catch enemy players off guard. You can play defensively, wait for the right moment, and strike when they are caught in CCs. This build is also very annoying for enemies to deal with because of how hard it is to kill. All of your healing strength comes from the
Panacea Fan, which gives you consistent healing. In group PvP,
Resurrection is especially powerful, letting you bring allies back to life and turn the fight in your favor.
Martial Arts
Gear
Stats Priority
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Rainwhisper + Moonflare set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Exquisite Scenery is a must-have because it gives the
Thundercry Blade more speed, so you don’t need to fully charge your attacks as often to deal good damage.
Morale Chant is one of the best Inner Ways for boosting both damage and healing, and it’s very easy to keep stacked during fights.
Adaptive Steel increases the crit damage of your Charged Skills, like
Avalanche and
Galecloud Cleave, making them hit much harder. For extra safety,
Trapped Beast adds a strong defensive layer by creating a shield whenever your HP drops low, helping you survive burst damage.
Mystic Skills
Serene Breeze is your most important Mystic Skill in PvP. It breaks you out of CC, letting you escape, reset, or even turn the fight if you time it well. For staying alive during hard fights,
Golden Body is also extremely strong. It costs a lot of vitality, but the protection and Fortitude it gives make it one of the safest ways to survive burst damage and avoid getting locked down. You can also swap this for
Ghostly Steps to disappear when you dash, being able to catch enemies off-guard with it.
To pressure enemies from far away,
Meridian Touch works great. It forces players to react early and also lets you Execute low-HP targets. If you need fast movement to chase someone,
Cloud Steps gives a sudden dash that helps you catch players trying to escape, though it can still be blocked if they expect it.
For CC,
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are both good picks. They knock enemies down and deal Qi damage.
Talon Strike is harder to land and hits for less, but because it goes through block, it becomes especially strong against defensive players block spamming you.
Dragon's Breath adds quick damage to your combos and can also help defensively when an enemy rushes you.
Rotations
- Begin by activating
Predator's Shield to buff yourself and use the shield as the enemy approaches. Then pull them in with
Sunrush Gale and deal damage before striking with
Talon Strike, which also knocks them down.
- Move into
Soaring Spin for some quick extra damage. If the opponent tries to fight back, channel
Galecloud Cleave to win the trade thanks to its CC immunity. After that, use
Dragon's Breath to prevent a counterattack and reset the engagement.
While waiting for the enemy attacks and playing defensive, use
Cloudburst Healing to constantly heal while standing still. Naturally,
Light Dust After Morning Rain and
Emerald Dewtouch add extra healing whenever you aren't being pressured.
