- High AoE Damage
- Good Self-Healing
Weaknesses
- Low Mobility
Overview
This Spiked Gauntlets PvE build prioritizes delivering high burst AoE damage to large groups of enemies by using Gravitational Collapse. It is one of the easiest builds to use for PvE and it performs well in both mists, the mists abbey, killing mobs in open world or even solo dungeons, offering a great way for new players to fame up.
Equipment
Usage
Elder's Spiked Gauntlets
Dragon Leap — This is one of your two movement abilities. With a very short cooldown, Dragon Leap can be spammed on cooldown allowing you to move between enemies with ease. If you manage to kick at least one enemy, then you can recast the ability with the same 2.5m range and the target hit will be knocked into the air for 0.5s.
Triple Kick — This is your secondary movement ability and couples perfectly with Dragon Leap helping you with repositioning. You can also use this ability to round up mobs, pulling a group of enemies to wherever you want, helping you setup a Gravitational Collapse.
Gravitational Collapse — This is your main damaging ability that deals AoE damage in a cone in whatever direction you want to use it. Try to always round up a large amount of mobs before using this ability as it has a rather long cooldown.
Rage — This passive will automatically activate every time you take damage while you're under 40% HP. It will increase your damage by 15% and also decrease your cooldowns by a bit. It is good to keep this passive in mind but try not to risk your life by going much lower than 40% HP.
Elder's Cultist Robe
Levitate — You want to use this ability as you progress through PvE content as its the best ability for both mana and health regeneration. You should use this ability in order to stay as close to full mana as possible!
Aggression — This passive increases your damage, which is good to have.
Elder's Mage Cowl
Firebreath — This AOE fire attack will hit all mobs in a cone similar to how you use Gravitational Collapse even though the cone is smaller. Use this before using Gravitational Collapse in order to help with clearing mobs but you can also use this ability to pull mobs into position.
Aggression — Another damage increasing passive.
Elder's Assassin Shoes
Refreshing Sprint — Because of your high reliance on your cooldowns, this run offers a great CD decrease that will help you speed through PvE content with ease.
Balanced Mind — Aggression provides flat extra damage which is exactly what you need for this build while the other three options are worthless to you.
Elder's Avalonian Cape
Force Pulse — This AOE cape ability can be triggered by auto-attacking every 30-ish seconds and is a great option for whenever your Gravitational Collapse is on cooldown. It pairs well with Firebreath and will help you clear smaller groups of mobs without using Gravitational Collapse.
Rotations
- The rotation is quite easy, you want to start by pulling mobs together into range so you can use Firebreath and hit as many enemies as possible before using Force Pulse. If the mobs aren't all dead yet, then use Gravitational Collapse to finish them off.
Keep in mind that often enough, certain mob rooms will be cleared simply by using Gravitational Collapse without the need to use your other spells!
Consumables
Major Poison Potion — A 4.0 poison is the best choice as it deals increased damage to bosses and increases the damage you do, this will help a lot with killing bosses with large HP pools. You can keep a few of these on you to help clear bosses but it usually isn't worth using a higher tier potion unless you are truly struggling.
Beef Stew — This is the best food for the build as it offers a great damage increase. The Beef Stew is quite cheap as well, which means you can use the 8.1 version even though it is a bit more expensive.
