Infernal Twinblades & Inkwell Fan PvE Build
- Easy to Play
- Good Range
- Good Damage
- Squishy
- High APM
Overview
This build is a great option for newcomers focusing on PvE in Where Winds Meet. The
Inkwell Fan brings notable mobility, ranged pressure, and strong air-juggle tools for open-world encounters, while also letting you control enemy movements by kiting behind
Jadewind Shield and blocking incoming ranged attacks.
To round out the setup, the
Infernal Twinblades contribute substantial damage and extended combo routes, making solo play smoother and letting you cut through story content with ease. The added DPS potential also helps you perform well in group PvE boss fights, ensuring you can keep up or even lead on the DPS charts.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Veil of the Willow + Beyond the Chill set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Start by picking
Echoes of Oblivion, as it boosts your crucial light attacks and combines extremely well with
Flamelash to increase your burst windows. From there, take
Morale Chant, which becomes the centerpiece of the setup (like in many other builds tbh), each hit steadily increasing DPS.
Next, slot in
Fivefold Bleed. Its added bleed effect works perfectly with the fast attack strings of the
Infernal Twinblades, letting you stack even more damage over time. Finish with
Breaking Point, which applies Physical Penetration stacks to bosses and gives a noticeable bump to overall DPS during longer fights.
Mystic Skills
A reliable option for boss pressure is
Leaping Toad. It delivers strong poison damage over time, and once upgraded, the poison can jump to nearby enemies and cause several explosive hits for solid AoE impact.
For controlling enemy groups,
Ghost Bind is a great pick. It keeps mobs together in one spot, allowing you or your allies to land big AoE skills much more easily.
Another effective crowd control tool is
Talon Strike. It knocks targets down and creates clean openings for follow up attacks like
Soaring Spin, or helps you break the Qi of single enemies before finishing them.
To increase your combo potential,
Dragon's Breath is also worth prioritizing. It applies steady burn damage that is especially effective on bosses, and when used before
Drunken Poet, every strike you make triggers additional burn explosions while also recovering stamina.
Rotations
- Start by applying burns with
Dragon's Breath. After that, use
Addled Mind along with a Light Attack chain. Follow up with
Calamity's Greed to maintain the combo flow. Repeat
Addled Mind and a Light Attack chain thgen swap back into
Calamity's Greed, and then finish the chain with instant
Dragon's Breath (thanks to Intoxicated buff) to maintain the burn on the boss/target before continuing with
Leaping Toad &
Flamelash followed by Infernal Twinblades Light Attacks.
- Continue the rotation with
Jadewind Shield and Fan Light Attacks. until your
Infernal Twinblades combo is back up off CD.
- Begin with
Peak's Springless Silence to knock an enemy into the air before following up with
Moon Shatter Spring then straight into
Soaring Spin for even more damage.
