Infernal Twinblades & Soulshade Umbrella PvE Build
- Easy to Play
- Good Healing
- Great for Solo Play
- Good Support
- Good Damage
- Low Skill Ceiling
- Can be boring to play
Overview
In this build we pair the
Infernal Twinblades damage potential through quick light attacks and extended weapon combos with the good self-healing of the
Soulshade Umbrella that helps keep your HP up and also heals other allies in group PVE and acting as an off-healer. While it doesn't have nearly as much healing potential as a build that also uses the
Panacea Fan. This is the perfect weapon combination for new players looking to breeze through the story and deal with all bosses much easier thanks to the
Soulshade Umbrella.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Ivorybloom + Whirlsnow set combo if you cannot get your hands on Eaglerise + Rainwhisper, but this is the main goal.
Inner Way
Start by taking
Echoes of Oblivion and
Restoring Blossom, as they provide extra healing to the
Soulshade Umbrella and a way to shred enemy armor through
Infernal Twinblades light attacks. Follow this up with
Morale Chant, which becomes a major DPS boost since every hit can increase both your damage and healing, especially when paired with
Echoes of a Thousand Plants. Finally, finish the setup with
Breaking Point adds plenty of extra damage that aids with taking down bosses.
Mystic Skills
For powerful sustained pressure in PvE,
Leaping Toad stands out, applying strong poison damage that, once upgraded, spreads to surrounding enemies and triggers multiple explosive hits for excellent AoE output. When it comes to controlling groups of mobs,
Ghost Bind is one of the most effective AoE CC tools available, letting you gather enemies together for yourself or your team.
Talon Strike also serves as a reliable form of crowd control, knocking targets down and setting them up for follow-up attacks like
Soaring Spin for quick burst damage.
Meanwhile,
Dragon's Breath provides consistent DoT on its own—especially effective against bosses. But it becomes even stronger when when chained into
Drunken Poet, causing the burn effect to detonate repeatedly with every hit you land during the combo while also giving you time to get some stamina back.
Rotations
- Pre-buff yourself with
Floating Grace then pop up the
Soulshade Umbrella for constant healing by using
Echoes of a Thousand Plants before beginning the proper DPS rotation.
- Begin by putting up the
Dragon's Breath first to put burns on a target then use
Leaping Toad for some extra damage and poison dot. Continue with
Addled Mind, then then use
Calamity's Greed to keep the combo going. After that, use
Addled Mind again and switch back to
Calamity's Greed. Finish the sequence with
Flamelash into Light Attacks as they are buffed.
Make sure to always have
Dragon's Breath active on the boss if you can and use
Leaping Toad essentially on cooldown to keep damage high.
