- Shields
- Great For Solo Play
- Self-Healing
- Takes time to get used to
- Cluttered visuals
Overview
In this build, using
Mortal Rope Dart with the
Thundercry Blade offers a great combination of strong DPS and the ability to tank bosses easily while also offering a good self-healing option with
Rodent's Resilience as long you keep it channeling. This is the perfect build for anyone looking to play a tank-ish build with great potential for AOE damage, doing incredibly well in open world exploration while being able to tank bosses in group PVE like Trials. While easy to play, it has plenty of room for you to improve as keeping track of buffs is important to keep rat damage going.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Rainwhisper + Formbend set combo. You can use Moonflare for armor until Formbend becomes available. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Vendetta is a strong upgrade for
Bladebound Thread, making its debuff last longer and helping you regain the Tokens of Gratitude needed to summon rats.
Morale Chant is an excellent DPS boost, since every hit can raise your damage, and it’s one of the strongest damage Inner Ways in the game. Add
Exquisite Scenery so your damage doesn’t rely as much on fully charged attacks.
Seasonal Edge also fits perfectly, giving extra damage each time you swap weapons with
Dual-Weapon Skill.
Mystic Skills
A good CC option that will help you with exploration is
Ghost Bind which lets you freeze enemies and freely pass through or just use it as a setup.
Wolflike Frenzy &
Free Morph can combo one after the other while
Dragon's Breath and
Drunken Poet deal good dot damage and extra damage when combined as the
Drunken Poet triggers explosions on targets afflicted by
Dragon's Breath.
Guardian Palm can be combo'd with
Cloud Steps, jumping into the air before using
Guardian Palm to do high AOE damage on the mobs below.
Rotations
- Start by debuffing the enemy with
Dragon's Breath, forcing it to take damage over time. Then use
Rodent Rampage to summon the rat before using
Bladebound Thread (make sure you do full combo), increasing damage taken. Continue with Light Attacks until the rat buff expires then swap weapons with
Dual-Weapon Skill.
- Use
Galecloud Cleave followed by a Light Attack then channel a full
Avalanche before re-applying
Dragon's Breath. Regain some Endurance by using
Drunken Poet while also doing good damage.
