Thundercry Blade & Nameless Sword PvE Build
- Easy to Play
- Tanky
- Good Mobility
- Good Damage
- Slow
- Requires Charge Up
Overview
This mobile tanking build is the perfect choice for those looking to play a tank but don't want to let go of the mobility provided by
Nameless Sword and its ability to latch onto enemies and jump away right after that, dealing good damage while also remaining very tanky thanks to the
Predator's Shield. With the
Sword Morph as the main Inner Way, you want to always use
Vagrant Sword to let out multiple waves of energy that deal damage right after using
Daunting Strike.
Daunting Strike is also a way to gain another shield alongside
Predator's Shield, making this a very tanky build with a high shield uptime.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
An important defense incrasing Inner Way is the
Exquisite Scenery as it increases your damage and minimizes the need for charging up attacks before doing damage while using the
Thundercry Blade to deal damage. On the same offensive side of the build,
Sword Morph and
Morale Chant are incredibly good, with the
Morale Chant adding an extra damage buff whenever you attack while
Sword Morph adds extra waves to the
Vagrant Sword after you used
Daunting Strike.
Art of Resistance is another obvious choice as it increases the duration of your shields, giving you more time to use the
Sword Morph buffed
Vagrant Sword.
Mystic Skills
Cloud Steps is a helpful mobility skill to jump between targets and while it does a bit of damage (particularly to mounted targets), it’s mainly used for movement and getting close to enemies more easily.
Wolflike Frenzy and
Free Morph both deal strong damage while bosses are knocked down, or you can chain them together for a high-damage air juggle combo.
Dragon's Breath is another solid pick for DOT damage, burning enemies quickly. Use Deflect afterward to cancel the animation and let the fire tick once its applied.
After
Dragon's Breath, follow up with
Drunken Poet for even more damage.
Soaring Spin works well as a gap closer and quick damage tool, often used in a similar way to
Cloud Steps.
Ghost Bind is a great skill for AOE CC, pulling mobs together so you can set up your next attack.
Rotations
- This is your go-to rotation when tanking or needing AOE damage. Start with
Predator's Shield to buff yourself and gain protection while charging your skills. Then use
Sunrush Gale to pull enemies in, follow with
Galecloud Cleave, and pair it with
Avalanche to deal strong AOE damage. After that, swap weapons with
Dual-Weapon Skill and move into the other rotation.
- Start the rotation with
Daunting Strike to latch onto the target, deal strong damage, and gain a shield that protects you. After the shield is up, use
Shadow Step to jump back, then fully charge
Vagrant Sword and release it for big damage. From there, move into
Soaring Spin and finish with
Wolflike Frenzy.
You can replace the
Dragon's Breath and
Drunken Poet for
Wolflike Frenzy &
Free Morph for extra damage or to juggle enemies into the air.
