Fishing Cooking Expedition Guide

Here’s everything you need to know about the fishing, cooking and amitoi expedition.

FISHING GUIDE

• To start fishing you will need a fishing stick and bait. Head over to a contract coin merchant, purchase Bamboo Stick and a pack of fishing bait. Equip them both by right clicking in the inventory and head over to any lake or sea. On your skill bar click on the rod icon to hold it in hands then press F to throw the hook. When the fish bites a quick prompt will appear and if you hit the timing right it reduces the fish stamina bar making it easier to catch.
• The fish will try to escape left or right by randomly changing sides and to drain its stamina bar you need to counter its movement by using A or D. You also have a stamina bar that should never be empty otherwise the fish will escape. Once the fish stamina bar is completely drained you pull it out and get the reward.
• There are different kinds of fishes with different tiers that are more difficult to catch. Different types of fishes can also be caught in different areas. Among different fishes as rewards, there are also big catch sacks which have an RNG chance to drop any of these items, sollant and cooking ingredients. Tevent Soul Fragment and Queen Belandir Carapace fragments are sellable on the auction house for lucent.
• Each fish caught gives fishing experience which, the higher it is, the better chances at getting good rewards and easier time catching them. There are also several different tiers of fishing rods that you can craft or obtain as a drop. Higher tier fishing rods increase the chance of getting big catch sacks and decrease the difficulty of catching fishes. To craft any of these rods you need mostly Nature Jade, which can only be obtained in a Big catch sack. Platinum fishing rod can be dropped randomly in Mystic Portals, while Tevent Fishing Rod can drop from the reward box after defeating the archboss Tevent.

COOKING GUIDE

• Cooking can be done out in the campfire, but has limited recipes and in every main watchtower or big city at the cooking oven. Opening it for the first time you will immediately notice that few recipes are unlocked, but the majority of them are locked. This is normal design, as you need to level up your cooking skill to unlock higher level and better recipes.
• Each recipe gives a different experience proportional to your cooking level, so just cooking more food is the only way to level it up. Every recipe requires different ingredients, visible at the center of your screen, and different substitute ingredients you can use. Each time you cook there is a % chance to get gray green or blue food, each giving the same buff, the only difference is the duration of that buff. The % to craft blue food increases depending if you use blue cooking ingredients.
• There is also a great success chance, which means that whatever tier food you cook, it is sellable on the auction house for lucent. Main ingredients that appear on the right side, have to be farmed or gathered. They are obtained through defeating mobs which then drop these ingredients, or gathering mushrooms and flowers in the open world. By clicking on each ingredient and then clicking on this icon, will show you exactly where you can get it. If it doesn’t say, for example uncommon fish oil, it means you obtain it by dissolving fish.
• Some drops from mobs can only be obtained in special conditions. For example scorpion tail can only be farmed as a drop from sand scorpions during night time. Majority of normal ingredients can be bought at a sundries merchant, while some like honey and grain can be bought daily in limited quantities.

AMITOI EXPEDITION GUIDE

• Some ingredients do not need to be farmed in high quantities, but they can be very easily obtained through amitoi expedition. This is a system where you can select up to 5 amitois to go on a farming and gathering journey for a set duration time. The higher level expedition unlocks higher level areas, which give higher tier ingredients and in larger quantities.
• To enter amitoi house, simply click on the icon on your skill bar. Each area has a specific condition indicated here. There can be plains, forest, ruins, shore and desert each giving different ingredients. Your aimtois, also have a specific condition which affects the amount of ingredients they can bring back. Sending 3 amitois that specialize in Forest areas for example will bring more items back. Always have an expedition active as it requires no effort or time to set up.
