Heroic Weapons & Armor Guide
This guide covers both Heroic Weapons and Armor along with their best stats you should use if you grind out and want to include the Heroic items into your build. While all PVE content in Throne and Liberty can be completed without the need of Heroic items, the introduction of the first Raid offers players a way to further min-max their gear, making it easier to reach certain stat points.
A good rule of thumb is that most, if not all heroic items are a direct upgrade to other items as they provide more raw stats. However, choosing the right heroic item for the build depends on weak item slots. For example, the Calanthia's Confession is generally a safe pick as your Heroic item on most builds as it offers the best stats for a cloak in the game.
Heroic Traits
With the Heroic Traits giving you the option of choosing between raw stats, it comes down to what your build is looking like in terms of stats. You should choose stats that would fill in your missing ones. For example, if your build is missing 8 Dexterity to reach 80 Dexterity, then the choice is obvious and you should go for that 8 extra Dexterity.
Weapons
Calanthia's Aegis of Dominance
Best PVP Passive: Queen Bellandir's Incandescent Blade's passive is generally the best for general PVP situations. However, in GVG and Wargames, you should consider the passive from
Bulwark of Invulnerability as it allows you to pull multiple enemies.
Best PVE Passive: In PVE, you should be using the passive from Blade of Fiendish Fortitude as it lets you soak up more healing during
Counter Barrier.
Heroic Effects: +14 Fortitude & Max Health are usually best for PVP. Swap the Fortitude effect for Cooldown Speed if you only plan on playing PVE content.
Calanthia's Implement of Finality
Best PVP Passive: Tevent's Warblade of Incineration's passive is by far the best one for PVP due to high AOE damage.
Best PVE Passive: Not much changes in PVE as the Tevent's Warblade of Incineration passive remains very powerful. However, the
Immortal Titanic Quakeblade is another good choice which is much easier to acquire.
Heroic Effects: +14 Strength & Hit Chance are safe choices in PVP. Max HP and Cooldown Speed are great for PVE.
Calanthia's Transfixion of Vengeance
Best PVP Passive: Deluzhnoa's Serrated Shard's passive is fantastic for PVP as it has many uses in all PVP content, another good choice would be the
Spear of Unhinged Horror as a stepping stone before you can get your hands on a
Deluzhnoa's Serrated Shard.
Best PVE Passive: For PVE, the Crimson Hellskewer passive is a good choice and easy to acquire, helping a great deal with cooldown speeds.
Heroic Effects: While it is very build dependant, Melee Heavy Attack Chance and Crit are good choices in PVP. However, you can also take raw stats like dexterity in both PVP and PVE.
Calanthia's Spire of Torment
Best PVP Passive: The Calanthia's Spire of Torment has many choices for passives as both
Daigon's Charred Emberstaff and
Queen Bellandir's Emberswarm Staff are fantastic in both PVP and PVE. However,
Deluzhnoa's Ancient Petrified Staff is also a decent choice if you can get your hands on it.
Best PVE Passive: A cheap option for PVE is the Abyssal Renaissance Foci passive but you should still aim for the
Daigon's Charred Emberstaff passive if you can.
Heroic Effects: Both Critical Hit Chance and Heavy Attack Chance are fantastic choices.
Calanthia's Repeaters of Ruin
Best PVP Passive: While Cordy's Stormspore Spike Slingers and
Akman's Bloodletting Crossbows are obvious choices, the
Queen Bellandir's Ashen Spine Throwers is another good choice.
Best PVE Passive: The PVE options don't change much compared to the PVP, but you can go for Bercant's Spineflower Crossbows's passive as its easy to get early on.
Heroic Effects: Both Ranged Critical Hit Chance and Ranged Heavy Attack Chance are good choices but you can also go for Cooldown Speed.
Calanthia's Loom of Entropy
Best PVP Passive: First choice for PVP would be Tevent's Arc of Scorching Death while
Bercant's Steelstring Bow's passive is much cheaper and easier to acquire.
Best PVE Passive: The PVE options remain the same as for PVP, however, you can do with Leviathan's Bloodstorm Longbow's passive as well if you can get it for cheap.
Heroic Effects: Both Ranged Critical Hit Chance and Ranged Heavy Attack Chance are good choices but you can also go for Cooldown Speed, especially in PVE.
Calanthia's Doctrine of Chaos
Best PVP Passive: The Overture of Eternal Salvation passive is an obvious choice for healing builds as it offers great extra healing. For DPS builds however, you should try to get your hands on
Tevent's Grasp of Cremation.
Best PVE Passive: The PVE options don't change, with Overture of Eternal Salvation being too strong to pass while
Tevent's Grasp of Cremation remains very strong.
Heroic Effects: Both Critical Hit Chance and Heavy Attack Chance are great for PVE as it would boost your healing. However, you can also go for Max Health to increase survivability.
Armor
Calanthia's Confession
This is generally the best Heroic Armor you should be going for as it offers the best stats out of all cloaks in the game. With only one slot being available for Heroic Armor, this should be your first choice. However, the Calanthia's Visage is a good choice too if it can fit in your build without messing up the armor set effects already present.
Best Traits: Regardless of content, you should be going for Skill Damage Resistance, Max Health and Debuff Duration. However, you can also choose Max Mana if you only PVE and have mana issues, but its not recommended over Debuff Duration.
Best Heroic Traits: Heavy Attack Evasion, Critical Damage Resistance are the obvious choices here. As for the third Heroic Trait, you should choose either Endurance or Evasion depending on which defensive stat you are stacking in your build.
Heroic Effects: The two good choices are Critical Hit Chance and Heavy Attack Chance for both PVP and PVE. As for the third stat, Hit Chance is generally good for PVP while Max Health is preferred for tanks and PVE. If you are a Crossbow player, you should take the Bonus Damage instead!
