Overview

This Staff and Wand build is primarily focused on doing AOE damage to groups of mobs, but is still able to put in a ton of damage on bosses, while having the option to do provide some support for your team in the form of heal spells and de-buffs. One of the best build's in game for speed farming.

With the unique stats and attributes system in Throne and Liberty, it can be difficult to determine exactly where to invest your attribute points at each stage of the game. This is because gear pieces provide attributes just like leveling up does, meaning everyone will have a different number of attribute points depending on what gear they are wearing at the time.
Given this variation, it's best to reset your attributes regularly to adjust to the new gear you acquire. Aim to reach the achievement effects, which provide extra benefits at milestones like 30, 50, and 70 points.

For this build, your main stat should be Wis and Dex, this is a spell heavy build so you need a lot of uptime to do the high damage numbers, so low cooldown speed's and mana regen are a must, plus Dex gives you the most bang for damage due to crit hits from Wrathful EdgeActive frame.webpWrathful Edge. Afterwards, you should prioritize Strength for extra max HP and defensive stats that will help you stay alive, Then perception for extra buff duration and resistances but both remain secondary stats when compared to Wisdom and Dex. You only need around 300/400 hit for PvE at the moment so no need to pile stats into perception.

These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.

This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.

This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of FuryTevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Rune Information Attack runeDefense runeSupport rune
While runes can be applied to different types of gear, you should make sure that you invest into the gear pieces that you plan on using for a long time. However, if the build you are using uses the same items between Mid Game and End Game, you can invest into adding runes to them as early as you get the items.

Staff: Investing 9 points into Destroy is perfect as it offers extra cooldown speed and skill damage alongside crit. The remaining 6 points should be go to Mana for the additional mana efficiency!

Wand: To enhance the overall damage of your skills, allocate 9 points into the Damage row and the remaining 6 points into Recovery for Skill Heal and crit rate.

  • While this is one of the simplest combos to execute, your positioning is the most important as you have to be rather close to the enemies to pull this off correctly. You want to look for stacked enemies during an enemy push or while your team is pushing towards the enemy zerg and your shotcaller is looking for an engage. Find an enemy in the group and use Touch of DespairUsed frame.webpTouch of Despair and Cursed NightmareUsed frame.webpCursed Nightmare to apply the Touch of DespairUsed frame.webpTouch of Despair debuff and sleep before using Karmic HazeUsed frame.webpKarmic Haze to spread the Cursed NightmareUsed frame.webpCursed Nightmare to nearby enemies alongside Touch of DespairUsed frame.webpTouch of Despair.

Swift HealingUsed frame.webpSwift Healing: With this being your only healing ability, you want to try and use this smartly even though you can use the ability twice. Try to always pair it with Blessed BarrierUsed frame.webpBlessed Barrier to boost the healing amount.

Inner PeaceUsed frame.webpInner Peace: With the specializtion, this skill allows you to survive a combo as you become immune to CC. This is skill is a great help whenever you are caught alone by a Greatsword or during enemy engages.

Frost SmokescreenUsed frame.webpFrost Smokescreen: This skill is a great utility skill as it allows you to move across the battlefield quickly, getting out of sticky situations!

High FocusUsed frame.webpHigh Focus: Use this as a defensive skill, offering you great evasion rate and helping you withstand damage. You should have this applied to yourself as often as possible!

Useful Information

  • Choose Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it provides good protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only helps mitigate damage but also speeds up your cooldowns, allowing you to use your abilities much more often.
