This build is up to date for the March 14, 2025 patch.
Overview
Another off-meta build, this Greatsword and Wand Small Scale PvP build is perfect for both new and veteran players looking for a challenge or looking for a different approach to Throne and Liberty as this build offers great sustain for a Greatsword build while remaining rather easy to play. The Wand side of the build offers good healing between fights and to keep yourself healthy while also helping your group.

SECONDARY

Wisdom
With the unique stats and attributes system in Throne and Liberty, it can be difficult to determine exactly where to invest your attribute points at each stage of the game. This is because gear pieces provide attributes just like leveling up does, meaning everyone will have a different number of attribute points depending on what gear they are wearing at the time.
Given this variation, it's best to reset your attributes regularly to adjust to the new gear you acquire. Aim to reach the achievement effects, which provide extra benefits at milestones like 30, 50, and 70 points.
For this build, prioritize Strength and Dexterity as your main attributes. Strength boosts your damage, increases heavy attack chances (and enhances healing), and provides more HP, which is critical for PvP survival. Additionally,
Vital Force improves both skill damage and healing based on your Strength. Aim for 60 points in Strength to gain extra health and further enhance your heavy attack chances and survivability. Dexterity is crucial for increasing your critical hit rate, improving your overall damage output. Finally, invest remaining points into Perception to boost your hit rate, while Wisdom isn't as valuable for this build.
Skills
The main focus when upgrading skills are the following:
Valiant Brawl,
Death Blow and
Guillotine Blade. They are your bread and butter skills and pair perfectly with
Stunning Blow and
Ascending Slash in various combos. Meanwhile,
Devastating Smash remains the main AOE CC to lock down groups of enemies when playing with a party.
Don't neglect the support side of the build though!
Fountain of Life is a great AOE heal and can top up your entire group with ease between engages or simply used to heal yourself between fights in Dominion events.
Swift Healing is a great heal to use during the fight, popping it on yourself to keep your health up while
Clay's Salvation is another AOE healing option for use with party.
As far as passives go, you should focus on upgrading
Robust Constitution for additional health and health regen.
Vital Force matches well with
Robust Constitution and considerably increases your damage & healing.
Noble Revival is a direct passive increase to your healing while
Saint's Oath increases your healing whenever you take damage, even boosting amitoi healing!

These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.

This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.

While runes can be applied to different types of gear, you should make sure that you invest into the gear pieces that you plan on using for a long time. However, if the build you are using uses the same items between Mid Game and End Game, you can invest into adding runes to them as early as you get the items.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like
Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

You should be aiming to reach and unlock masteries (the corner nodes) as soon as possible as they usually make the largest impact in the build. While minor nodes shouldn't be forgotten, make sure to unlock masteries as fast as possible before spreading out and spending into less important nodes.

Rotations
- Begin the rotation with

Precision Dash used two times to bind your target. If your bind succeeds, use
Ascending Slash to trip (Prone) your target before using
Death Blow for some extra damage. Follow up with
Stunning Blow and
Guillotine Blade to finish off your target.

Invincible Wall: This is a great skill to use when you expect an enemy to try and burst you down. This shield can tank a lot of enemy's damage rotation and allows you to live through it.

Devastating Smash: Use this skill on its own to lock down enemies when you catch a group stacked together. You can also follow up by using the Green Ranger Elowen guardian to maintain the enemies caught in place by rooting.

Cursed Nightmare: You can use this skill to CC someone and get away from a fight while you are vulnerable without cooldowns or simply to get away from a matchup you cannot win.
