Spellblade - Dagger + Staff Small Scale PvP Build
- High Burst Damage
- High Single Target DPS
- Great Mobility
- High Skill Floor & Skill Ceiling
Overview
Staff and Dagger build for small-scale PvP with an almost assassin-like approach, emphasizing dagger skills for mobility while leveraging the staff's potent burst damage to complement the dagger's mobility. This build can be used perfectly in small scale PVP like night time open world dungeon fights, dominion events or even arena!
Attributes
Maximizing damage output is crucial for this build, making Dexterity and Perception the primary attributes to focus on. By allocating points into these stats, you can significantly enhance your DPS, ensuring that you can deal good damage throughout each fight. Additionally, investing in Wisdom for extra mana regeneration can be good to sustain yourself, although the primary focus should remain on maximizing damage through Dexterity and Perception. Do not neglect 30 points into Strength though as it offers a good amount of extra health.
Skills
The Staff & Dagger is an excellent choice for solo players who prefer not to rely on guilds or for those who enjoy engaging in small group pvp against larger groups or groups of similar size.
In terms of skills, your main damage will be coming from your Judgment Lightning, fully charged Serial Fire Bombs, Chain Lightning and even your Inferno Wave so you should prioritize these skills when leveling them up, aiming to push them to purple as soon as possible. Inject Venom should always be used at the start of your rotations, applying the poison that decreases enemy resistances and increases the damage you do. Inject Venom also triggers the Destructive Fang, improving your crit rate when attacking poisoned targets.
Icebound Tomb freezes enemies in place and also lowers their resistances, being a great skill to use when bursting down targets or to control range as it can chain its bind with the bind from using Ice Spear.
As far as passives go, you should focus on upgrading Flame Condensation for additional damage. Assassin's Instincts for extra crit rate and Shadow Walker as a defensive skill that can be triggered at any time by simply using your Block Blade (you don't have to actually roll to the side to activate this, just pressing your block is enough). It also activates whenever you use Shadow Strike.
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for after leveling as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples.
This is the gear you should be wearing during the midgame. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by grinding contracts, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important.
THIS PART OF THE GEARING WINDOW IS RESERVED FOR END GAME (TIER 2 ITEMS) THAT AREN'T AVAILABLE YET IN THE WESTERN VERSION OF THE GAME AND ARE STILL BEING RELEASED IN KOREA. THAT FOR, IT REMAINS A WORK IN PROGRESS AND YOU CAN SAFELY IGNORE THIS PART UNTIL WESTERN RELEASE OF TIER 2.
This is the the best in slot gear and the most difficult to acquire. It is comprised of gear you won't get easily, requiring large amounts of Lucent to buy off the auction house or requiring you to be part of a dominating guild on your server. Some of the pieces come from tier 2 dungeons and are difficult to acquire and trait up.

Staff:
To maximize your damage output, allocate 9 points into Destroy to significantly increase skill damage through Weapon Masteries. Then, invest 6 points into Attribute for an additional boost, granting a 10% increase in Burning Damage and Burning Chance.
Dagger: Allocate 6 points into Assassination for an increased Off-hand Weapon activation chance and critical damage, which can be beneficial. However, prioritize investing 9 points into Disguise for valuable defensive passives, crucial for survivability during fights, enabling you to withstand more damage when engaging other players.
Rotations
- This rotation is focused on delivering the highest possible damage to a single target while maintaining them CC'd during the duration. Start with High Locus to buff yourself before using Inject Venom to apply poison with every attack you deliver.
Start your damage rotation by debuffing the target with Icebound Tomb and a quick cast of Fireball Barrage to apply poison and deal damage. If you have stamina to burn, use Block Blade to boost your damage (thanks to Lequirus's Wicked Thorns and resistances with Shadow Walker.
Follow up with a full cast of Serial Fire Bombs before using both Inferno Wave and Chain Lightning instantly. Re-bind the target with Ice Spear and use Judgment Lightning two times if the target isn't already dead.
- Use this rotation when you are ganking a target out of Camouflage Cloak. Start by binding your target with Icebound Tomb before channeling Judgment Lightning followed by a re-bind using Ice Spear and a fully charged Serial Fire Bombs
High Locus: You should use this ability regularly to increase your hit rate and also improve your evasion!
Camouflage Cloak: This ability remains one of your most valuable tools for turning the tide of a fight in your favor or making a swift escape. The stealth provided by Camouflage Cloak offers versatility for both initiating and evading engagements, allowing for creative tactical movement.
Icebound Tomb: This ability is fantastic for resetting engagements or immobilizing a target to help with your escape. This skill allows you to fully cast skills like Judgment Lightning or Serial Fire Bombs while also improving the damage you do to the target by lowering their resistances.
Useful Information
- Select Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it provides essential protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also increases your cooldown speed in order to let you heal more often.
