- High Burst
- 1vsX potential
- Best melee assassin
- High Skill Ceiling
- Squishy
- Difficult to perform well in Large Scale PvP
Overview
This Greatsword and Dagger PvP build is great for taking out important enemies and winning one-on-one fights. It can deal a lot of damage quickly and has short cooldowns, making it easy to switch between targets. It works well in small PvP battles but isn't very effective in large-scale PvP like Siege or Riftstone fights.
Attributes
- Main stat Dexterity until you reach 30, followed by Perception to 30 and rest into strength for some extra HP. Wisdom isn't worth investing into and going past 30 points in dexterity and perception isn't worth over the HP gains from Strength.
Skills
Skill Priority
Due to your combo, your top priority should be upgrading all skills involved in your damage-dealing combos. Meanwhile, skills like DaVinci's Courage and Camouflage Cloak can be left to be upgraded later, as they can be somewhat neglected initially to focus on enhancing your main damage combos first.
Passives Priority
Since this build relies more on higher-level passives and doesn't require many lower-level ones, you won't need as many books for them, giving you some flexibility. However, it's still important to prioritize Vital Force and Robust Constitution, as these two passives work well together and have great synergy.

Greatsword: Invest 9 points into Incapacitate to increase stun duration and improve your stun chance. Once you've maxed out Incapacitate, allocate the remaining points into Face Off to boost your damage further.
Dagger: Choosing Assassination for your Dagger is essential as it provides a significant damage boost. Allocate the remaining 4 points into Poison for some weakening chance and additional damage.
Rotations
- This rotation serves as your primary kill sequence. While you can start from within Camouflage Cloak, it's better used for escaping and resetting the fight. The rotation is straightforward: begin with Inject Venom and DaVinci's Courage as your pre-buffs, then swiftly execute Shadow Strike, immediately followed by Stunning Blow to unleash your damage on the target.
- This rotation is ideal for delivering high damage rapidly, especially when your main skills are on cooldown. It's a shorter and simpler combo to execute, yet it still inflicts significant damage, mainly due to Guillotine Blade. However, due to the casting time of Stunning Blow, ensure that your target is stunned before using it.
Camouflage Cloak: This is your get-out-of-jail-free card. Use it when you are getting focused or have to reposition. It can also help reset a fight and cooldowns after taking down a target. There are numerous other ways to use stealth, so feel free to be inventive!
Ambush Stance: This is the key ability that distinguishes between skilled Greatsword and Dagger users and less skilled ones. You can employ this ability to quickly enter stealth and evade damage. Additionally, you should aim to use the ability to capitalize on the damage boost you receive with the first skill used after exiting stealth.
Useful Information
- Select Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it provides essential protection with its shield, which absorbs damage equal to 50% of your mana. While the shield is active, you also gain a 40% Cooldown Speed boost. Although the shield is valuable, ensure to maintain it for as long as possible to maximize the duration of the increased cooldown speed. Remember, the guardian will be lost if the shield is depleted, so be mindful of that!
- For gear you want to get the Reaper Set as its currently Best in Slot armor set for DPS but it also gives you a lot of dexterity and perception. Tevent's Despair Blade is the greatsword you want as it creates an AoE explosion on targets you stun, adding a lot of damage every time you use Stunning Blow. Morokai's Corrupt Sword and Magnaduke's Berserk Blade are also decent choices but your goal should remain Tevent's Despair Blade. Lequirus's Thorny Edge is relatively easy to get and gives you extra damage after using Shadow Strike, with Kowazan's Twilight Blade being a decent option for the extra damage during night. Rex Chimaerus's Fang would be a good choice as well as it gives 8 dexterity which is quite a lot of extra damage.
