Spellblade - Dagger + Staff PvE Build
- High DPS
- Good Mobility
- Easy to Play
- Squishy
- No Party Utility
Overview
This PVE Staff & Dagger build is perfect for newer players, offering high sustained damage while remaining very straight-forward to play and easy to pickup. While the build focuses on single target damage in order to perform well in high level dungeons, it still offers some AOE damage through the use of Knife Throwing and the AOE burn delivered by Serial Fire Bombs. This mix allows the build to perform well in all PVE scenarios from field bosses to dungeons or mob grinding for contracts.
Attributes
You want to prioritize getting 30 points into both Dexterity and Perception as they are the main attributes that increase your damage. With wisdom offering some extra mana and mana regeneration, this is where you want to have the rest of your points.
Skills
Skill Priority
Prioritize leveling Serial Fire Bombs, Chain Lightning, and Predatory Strike to rare quality, with Predatory Strike offers great damage when part of a combo with Shadow Strike and Brutal Incision.
When it comes to epic upgrades, prioritize upgrading the same abilities, Knife Throwing gets a nice damage increase once upgraded to epic as 5 daggers are thrown instead of 3. Brutal Incision and Inferno Wave should be upgraded as soon as possible for the extra damage. Inferno Wave benefits greatly from the epic level Serial Fire Bombs, which apply 2 stacks of burning with each hit as it's damage is increased based on the amount of burning stacks.
Passives Priority
Upgrading passives remains relatively inexpensive, with only a few required upgrades. However, you shouldn't neglect them. Starting off with Manaball Eruption that empowers your autoattacks by delivering extra projectiles and considerably increasing your damage. Afterwards, prioritize upgrading Assassin's Instincts and Flame Condensation for additional damage. Upgrade Profuse Poison for a nice flat damage increase to your poison but it shouldn't be a top priority.

Staff:
To maximize damage output, allocate 9 points into Destroy for significant skill damage increase through Weapon Masteries. Then, invest 3 points into Attribute for an additional boost, granting 10% extra Burning Damage.
Dagger: Spend 9 points into Assassination to increase your flat base damage, extra attack speed and critical damage. The remaining 3 points will be invested into Poison for better weaken chance.
Rotations
- Start the rotation by buffing yourself with High Locus to decrease your cooldowns before using Inject Venom so the abilities you cast after also apply poison. Use Serial Fire Bombs three times before using Inferno Wave, making use of the burn stacks on your target. Use Chain Lightning afterwards for the same reason followed by Judgment Lightning that has a chance to reset it's own cooldown when used against burning targets. You want to then transition into your melee combo, using Shadow Strike to close the distance before using Knife Throwing and Predatory Strike before finishing off the target using Frenzied Sword Dance and Brutal Incision.
Inner Peace: Use this ability on cooldown coupled with mana regeneration potions. Always try to use it coupled with Nature's Blessing whenever you have a Longbow in your party as it allows you to regain 100% of your mana.
High Locus: You want to always use this ability on cooldown before starting up a fight.
Infernal Meteor: You can take this ability instead of Frenzied Sword Dance if you need more AOE damage when grinding mobs.
Useful Information
- Choose Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it offers vital protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This helps mitigate damage and also increases your cooldown speed, allowing you to use your abilities more frequently.
