Kertaki (Boss)

Whirlwind

Kertaki glows with a purple aura, followed by a whirlwind attack.

Players should use a stationary block, in order words stand still and block. Circle block indicator means stationary block.

Ground Slam

Kertaki raises his weapon and prepares to slam it on the ground. Pay attention to the block indicator.

Players should use a roll block, in order words move and block. Diamond block indicator means roll block.

Blue Fireballs

Kertaki performs the Whilwind mechanic, followed by the dialogue "I'll fry you!" before casting blue fireballs that target random players. Upon landing these fireballs will leave a burn on the ground beneath them. Shortly after the battlefield will be covered with smoke.

Clearing this smoke can occur in two ways:

  1. The burn area where the Blue Fireballs land.
  2. Taking a burn stack from the flaming area where the Blue Fireballs land and moving inside the smoke.

The next mechanic requires vision of the geysers, therefore players should take a burn stack to make sure that the geysers remain visible.

Party members can also opt for standing on top of geysers when Kertaki casts the fireballs so it's easier to clear the smoke. Make sure to clear all the geysers!

The boss will then spawn Baby Lizards you should group up and kill.

Geysers

Kertaki commences the dialogue "Try to dodge this!" and prepares to cast an AoE. Notice that a geyser will start bubbling, standing on this geyser launches players up to dodge the attack.

Players should immediately stand on top of the bubbling geyser once they see it.

Frenzy

Kertaki will bubble two geysers instead of one. The party should take one geyser, then immediately fly to the next.

Rat Transformation

Kertaki pulls the party in and transforms everyone into rats.

There will be orbs circling the boss, getting hit by one will cause fear.

Kertaki will then start targeting individual players with a bite, your party should spread out so you can tell who is being targeted. Once the boss faces a player to target them, they should use the burrow skill immediately to avoid the bite.

Just like in Tyrant's Isle, after everyone has dodged the bite attack they should take their flower to turn back into their character.

Notable Mechanics

Infuriated Reptilian Gladiator (Elite)

This boss targets a player with a charge, you need to make sure he charges into a pillar. Therefore lure and fight the boss next to a pillar so when he executes this attack it is easier to stand behind a pillar and dodge.

Only taking down 2 pillars may cause a one-shot.
