Liberator - Longbow + Staff PvE Build
- High Sustained DPS
- Good Group Utility
- Versatile
- Stationary gameplay
- No defensives
Overview
This Staff & Longbow build focuses on dealing high damage in all PVE content while being a challenge as it requires a relatively high APM compared to other builds. The build can be played well by both new and experienced players, offering a challenge while being enjoyed by all types of players that enjoy the full ranged DPS playstyle.
Attributes
For this build, focus on increasing Perception and Dexterity to maximize your damage output. These stats should be your main priority early on, as they boost your critical hit rate and improve both hit and overall damage. As you progress and upgrade your gear, continue investing in them for better performance. Strength and Wisdom are secondary priorities. Strength boosts your max HP which can help a great deal with certain PVE challenges, while Wisdom helps with mana regeneration. While not as critical, these stats will still support your survivability as you progress in Throne and Liberty.
Skills
With your main DPS rotation being around the gale combo provided by Strafing, Zephyr's Nock and Ice Spear, these are the first skills you should level. However, don't forget that Inferno Wave deals high burst damage and also applies burn stacks if you already applied burn stacks before using it through Serial Fire Bombs. This also makes it easier for you to stack a maximum of 10 burn stacks for Fireball Barrage. Judgment Lightning and Serial Fire Bombs also provide great AOE and single target DPS alongside Chain Lightning.
Deadly Marker is offers great utility to your party by improving crit rate while Nature's Blessing offers good health and mana regeneration. High Focus is another utility skill for your whole party, increasing cooldown speed for everyone in your party.
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.
This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Staff: To maximize your damage output, allocate 9 points into Destroy to significantly increase skill damage through Weapon Masteries. Then, invest 6 points into Mana to help a bit with your mana sustain and also gain extra melee defense.
Longbow: Spend 9 points into Sniping to greatly increase your raw damage and critical hit damage while 6 remaining points go into Check for extra cooldown speed.
Rotations
- Start the rotation by casting Deadly Marker on your target before following up by buffing your party with High Focus and a quick Ice Spear onto the target. Continue with Strafing to force Gale stacks.
- Continue by using Zephyr's Nock to trigger the target debuff applied by your Strafing and deal higher damage while also lowering cooldown. Then use Chain Lightning and Serial Fire Bombs to put fire stacks and increase the amount of fireballs your Fireball Barrage will do next. Finish the rotation by casting Judgment Lightning.
- Use this rotation to deal incredible single target DPS and also regain your mana. You want to make sure to stack up burn stacks with Serial Fire Bombs and Inferno Wave before using Nature's Blessing and Fireball Barrage. Then you should use Inner Peace to rapidly gain mana and proc Manaball Eruption for extra damage.
- This is your bread and butter AOE DPS rotation on a low cooldown. Start with Serial Fire Bombs and Inferno Wave to stack up burn stacks on enemies before using Chain Lightning and Judgment Lightning to finish off the mobs.
Fireball Barrage: This spell can be swapped for Infernal Meteor during the early stages of a dungeon so you can clear mobs quicker.
