Darkblighter - Wand + Dagger PvE Build
- Amazing AoE Damage
- Easy to play
- Low mobility
- Low Single Target DPS
Overview
Wand and Dagger PvE build with focuses on high DoT AoE damage, performing well when killing large amounts of mobs for rare drops or doing contracts. It can also excel in open world dungeons grinding high level mobs with a group for drops or contracts. It isn't recommended for dungeons or leveling but it still performs incredibly well at PvE events where killing large amounts of mobs is important.
Attributes
For this build, prioritize Perception and Dexterity to maximize your damage. These should be your main focus, particularly early on. As you progress and enhance your gear, continue investing into both to improve critical hits, accuracy, and range. Strength and Wisdom are secondary but still important. Strength boosts your health, improving durability, while Wisdom helps with mana regeneration. Although not as crucial, these stats will still contribute to your overall survival as you level up and gaining 30 points into Strength is particularly good for the extra health you receive.
Skills
You should prioritize your damaging skills first, start by improving Touch of Despair as it's your main damage ability and your bread and butter alongside Curse Explosion and Corrupted Magic Circle. Don't forget to also upgrade Cleaving Moonlight and Inject Venom thought as Inject Venom does good damage and can easily be applied through Cleaving Moonlight. Ray of Disaster is unlocked purple when you get it, so you shouldn't worry too much about upgrading it early but keep it in mind whenever you get omnipotence books.
Your healing abilities are meant for keeping your alive while being attacked by large groups of mobs and remaining somewhat stationary so Fountain of Life is perfect for that, especially when coupled with Phantom Smokescreen as the latter makes you immune to damage for a few seconds, enough for you to heal up in a pinch.
You should prioritize Destructive Fang, Assassin's Instincts and Wrathful Edge as your main damage improving passives, considerably boosting your damage. Vampiric Contract's healing pairs well with Wraith's Beckon as well, letting you heal up by simply having curse stacks on the group of mobs. Once the mobs die, your mobility & mana regen are enhanced through Assassin's Step alongside Full of Corruption, making it difficult to run out of mana while running this Darkblighter build.
Equipment
These are the first items you should strive for through the leveling period as they are very easy to get and upgrade or trait as needed. However, you shouldn't try to trait these items too much as you won't be spending too much time playing with this setup before you start changing pieces into the Midgame. The green accessories however are very easy to trait as you can craft many of them quickly in order to get the correct traits so you should consider traiting them until you change into purples. The same goes for the blue ring as you keep it for a long time.
This is the gear you should transition to once you're leveled to 50 and start grinding gear. It is comprised of gear you can get either from dungeons or by completing Litographs, they are relatively easy to trait up and you will spend most of the time wearing this set before advancing into the late game so traiting these items is very important and should be your main focus.
This is the current endgame gear you should aim for, and while it isn't easy to acquire, it offers great power without the need of acquiring archboss gear pieces. However, items like Tevent's Fangs of Fury or other archboss weapons are superior but difficult to acquire for the majority of players. If you do manage to get the archboss weapons for your build, feel free to use them over the weapons shown here.

Wand: Invest 9 points into Damage and then 9 points into Recovery for a mix of extra damage and cooldown speed, with heavy attack chance being the main stat to get first. One last point goes into Weaken for mana regen.
Dagger: Invest 9 points into Assassination for maximum damage increase while the 9 other points can go in Poison to improve your Weaken chance (Poison, Curse) and cooldown speed. The last point will go into disguise for a bit of extra defense.
Rotations
- Start by gathering mobs together before using Inject Venom so your following skills also apply poison. Use Touch of Despair to put curse stacks on your main target and those nearby. Move in the center of the mob stack and use Cleaving Moonlight to apply more Inject Venom stacks before using Touch of Despair again to increase the number of curses further. Use Corrupted Magic Circle in the center of the mobs to deal some good damage while also deliver extra DoT damage while it lasts on the ground.
- Wrap up the rotation by casting Time for Punishment on a target before following up with Touch of Despair and Karmic Haze to spread those curses. Curse Explosion and Ray of Disaster should be casted last in order to burn down whatever HP the mobs have left.
Swift Healing: This is your only single target healing ability and you should use it in order to save yourself while under the effect of Phantom Smokescreen or between mob pulls.
Phantom Smokescreen: This is a fantastic defensive skill as it will give you a few seconds of breathing without getting hit by mobs, helping you stabilize a large pull.
Useful Information
- Choose Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; it offers vital protection with its shield, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only aids in mitigating damage but also increases your cooldown speed, allowing you to heal yourself and also use your DPS abilities more often.
