Sentinel - Greatsword + Staff Large Scale PvP Build
- High Burst AoE Damage
- High Single Target DPS
- Great Mobility
- High Skill Ceiling
- Low Utility
Overview
This build centers on utilizing the Greatsword and Staff in large-scale PvP scenarios. This weapon combination provides big damage potential, with both weapons offering high DPS individually and synergizing effectively with each other. Intended for frontline play, the build provides high mobility, enabling you to push deep into the enemy backline. Additionally, Infernal Meteor is used to deal huge AoE damage alongside your team.
Attributes
Like many other DPS builds, the primary objective is to allocate most points into Dexterity and Perception, as they provide the most significant increase in your flat damage. Assign the remaining points into Strength to boost your health pool and capitalize on the additional damage offered by the Vital Force passive.
Skills
Skill Priority
When it comes to leveling priority, focus on upgrading Stunning Blow to rare quality, as it is a big part of your rotations and damage dealing. It also provides you with valuable single target CC. However, upgrading Death Blow to epic provides a notable damage boost.
While your staff abilities aren't crucial to upgrade, enhancing Chain Lightning and Frost Smokescreen is still great. Upgrading Chain Lightning increases its damage, which is important as it's one of your few AoE abilities. To turn this ability into AoE damage you make use of the Ice Spear & Frost Master combination.
Meanwhile, Frost Smokescreen gains additional utility with rare quality, doubling its usage. However, upgrading these shouldn't be your highest priority.
For epic upgrades once you have everything else upgraded, prioritize Infernal Meteor as it's your main AoE ability for large scale PVP and the one that will net you the most kills.
Passives Priority
Upgrading passives isn't too costly, allowing you to prioritize active skills instead. However, it's essential not to neglect them. Focus on upgrading Robust Constitution and Vital Force as they complement each other, adding extra damage and health.
Cold Warrior offers increased critical hit chance along with Heavy Attack Chance after using Stunning Blow, which shouldn't be ignored as it significantly boosts your heavy attack chance when used alongside Precision Dash in your rotation. Mana Amp provides extra health when improved, pairing perfectly with Vital Force, making the choice obvious. The rest of your passives are already upgraded to epic, so you don't need to worry about them too much.
When it comes to upgrading Epic passives, prioritize Flame Condensation as it increases your Infernal Meteor damage, which is crucial.

Staff:
To optimize your damage output, allocate 9 points into Destroy to substantially boost skill damage and magical critical hits through the Weapon Masteries. The remaining 3 points should be invested in Attribute for a 10% increase in Burning Damage, which pairs perfectly with your Infernal Meteor.
Greatsword: For the Greatsword, allocate 9 points into Incapacitate to increase stun duration and enhance your stun chance, helps with combos based on Stunning Blow. Once Incapacitate is maxed out, allocate the remaining points into Face Off to further boost your damage output.
Rotations
- This rotation is designed to engage by applying damage to a single target before retreating. Begin with High Locus to enhance your movement speed and reduce ability cooldowns. Follow up with Precision Dash to close the distance to your target swiftly, then immediately use Stunning Blow to immobilize them. Quickly debuff the target with Willbreaker before casting Guillotine Blade for high damage. Continue with Chain Lightning and Judgment Lightning as the target attempts to move away. Utilize Frost Smokescreen to reposition either ahead of your target to catch them again or to move back away from them for safety.
- In this rotation, advance into an enemy group using Precision Dash after activating High Locus. Subsequently, use Frost Smokescreen to teleport backwards, applying the Frost effect to all enemies, courtesy of Frost Master. Then, utilize the combination of Chain Lightning and Judgment Lightning to deal significant damage to the slowed enemies from a safe distance.
Devastating Tornado: This is your main AoE damaging skill coming from the Greatsword and you want to use it whenever you spot enemies stuck close together and Infernal Meteor is on cooldown. Either if its because of a mass sleep or because of a use of Queen Bellandir's Blade by one of your fellow frontliners, your goal is to move in and deal damage to the clump of enemy players.
Infernal Meteor: The Meteor doesn't have a set rotation and can be utilized as needed. However, aim to cast it atop a group of enemies when they are clustered together. Using both damage-increasing food and potions will enhance its burst damage. Since you lack a proper way to set up enemies for your meteor, you rely on others to do so for you.
Frost Smokescreen: Is your only movement ability basides Precision Dash and is your main ability to kite away from bad situations, try to use this defensively! An offensive way of using this could be if it is used after you've done your initial melee burst in order to slow your enemy and switch to your ranged rotation.
High Locus: Utilize this ability to consistently reduce the cooldowns of your other abilities before initiating a rotation. It also aids in catching onto targets and facilitates retreat when necessary.
Ice Spear: Use this ability from range when you see a stack of enemies around you, try to hit as many of them as possible before using Chain Lightning and Judgment Lightning for AoE damage that will spread out to the enemies you've previously hit with your Ice Spear.
Guillotine Blade: This ability can only be used when coupled with Stunning Blow because of it's cast time and while it offers high damage, using it on its own will likely get you killed.
Useful Information
- Choose Lady Knight Kamarshea as your guardian; her shield offers great protection, capable of absorbing damage equal to 50% of your mana. This not only assists in mitigating damage but also accelerates your cooldown speed, allowing you to utilize your abilities much more frequently.
