Crusader - Greatsword + Sword PvP Build
- High AoE damage
- Best Large Scale Melee DPS
- Tanky
- High Skill Ceiling
- Bad at 1v1s
Overview
This Greatsword and Sword build is designed for large and small-scale PvP content such as Riftstones and Sieges. It's particularly effective at dealing significant AoE damage as a frontline melee combatant, while the Sword & Shield provides added protection. The build also offers agile movement, allowing for easy navigation between groups of enemies and quick retreats when necessary.
Attributes
Prioritize Dexterity as your primary attribute until it reaches 30. Afterward, allocate points into Perception until 30 and distribute the remainder into Strength to bolster your HP. Investing in Wisdom isn't worth it as it brings little damage and some mana regen. Allocate the rest of your points into Strength due to Vital Force which gives extra damage.
Skills

Skill Priority

Since we utilize numerous high-level abilities, there aren't many active abilities you need to upgrade. This makes the build quite affordable and allows you to concentrate on upgrading your passives.
Passives Priority

Similar to the active skills, we rely on many high-level passives, which makes this build particularly effective once you reach level 50 and not advisable for use before then. However, this also makes the build very cost-effective.

Greatsword:
Investing 9 points in Face Off is a no-brainer as it significantly boosts your damage and heavy attack chance. The remaining points should be allocated to Charge for added defense and bonus Amitoi heal.
Sword: Investing 9 points in Collision offers additional damage, weaken chance, and a boost to cooldown speed. Allocate two points to the Boss line for increased damage, and the remaining point should be placed into Provoke & Counter for improved melee defense.
Rotations

- This is your primary damage drop rotation. Look for areas where enemies are grouped together and initiate with
Precision Dash. Then, follow up with
Provoking Roar to apply weaken and use
Annihilating Slash for AoE damage all around, triggering
Spectrum of Agony. Finally, use
A Shot at Victory to eliminate enemies as they disperse, finishing off any low-health survivors.

- Your twin rotation is quite similar, and the skills used can be interchanged depending on cooldowns. The concept remains the same, but instead of triggering
Spectrum of Agony with
Provoking Roar, we achieve it with
Willbreaker for a similar but longer-lasting effect.
Gaia Crash is utilized for damage, while
Devastating Tornado is used for cleanup, alongside
Valiant Brawl.
Counter Barrier: Use when you start drawing focused attention. Utilize your defense skill to reflect damage when you're under pressure or when an engagement doesn't go as planned.
Stalwart Bastion: Use when initiating a push with your team or when being pushed by the enemy. It's typically requested by your shotcaller, but you can also initiate it yourself if your shotcaller doesn't give the command.
DaVinci's Courage: Use before every engagement to increase the max HP of people around you. It also boosts your damage due to
Vital Force and increases attack speed once it's upgraded to epic.
Useful Information
- Select Green Ranger Elowen as your guardian; it roots people around you and can assist in executing your rotation. If you manage to root enemies using this guardian, you can effortlessly execute both rotations and eliminate groups of enemies on your own.
- For gear, aim to obtain the Reaper Set as it's currently the Best in Slot armor set for DPS. Additionally, it provides substantial boosts to dexterity and perception. Opt for
Tevent's Despair Blade as your greatsword, as it triggers an AoE explosion on targets you collide with while using
Strategic Rush, resulting in explosions everywhere as you pass through clumps.
Morokai's Corrupt Sword and
Magnaduke's Berserk Blade are also decent choices but your goal should remain
Tevent's Despair Blade.
Queen Bellandir's Blade is an excellent weapon for this build as it generates a quicksand area when you use
Annihilating Slash, trapping enemies for both you and your team.
Cornelius's Explosive Blade is a viable option until you acquire the Sword & Shield, providing additional perception, but it doesn't compare to
Queen Bellandir's Blade.
