Heavenquaker Spear & Inkwell Fan PvP Build
- Good AOE DPS
- Great Defenses
- Great CC
- Can be countered easily
- Takes time to learn
Overview
The
Heavenquaker Spear provides strong area damage for this setup, allowing you to hit several enemies at once and making the build effective in group-focused PVP. Its wide coverage pairs well with the control tools from the
Inkwell Fan, giving the build both reach and disruption.
With
Jadewind Shield, you can manage the distance at which other players engage you. This makes it difficult for enemy players to catch you if you position well, since you can shift between melee and medium-range pressure.
For additional crowd control,
Peak's Springless Silence launches targets into the air and sets up clean follow-ups. It also combines smoothly with
Yaksha Rush or
Wolflike Frenzy so you can airjuggle.
Another strong CC tool comes from the
Inkwell Fan itself:
Forsaken Fame, which lifts enemies into the air and gives you the option to combo.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Veil of the Willow + Beyond the Chill set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
A useful option for raising damage against airborne targets is
Star Reacher, which fits naturally into this setup by boosting Airborne Damage during your combos, being stronger once upgraded. To push overall DPS even further,
Adaptive Steel is valuable. It allows your skills to ignore enemy armor, which pairs especially well with the
Heavenquaker Spear and its heavy-hitting abilities.
You can add more consistency to the build with
Wolfchaser's Art. It helps you build up the
Heavenquaker Spear buff more easily, improving your sustained pressure in longer fights. For steady scaling power,
Morale Chant remains one of the strongest Inner Ways available in the game. Each successful hit increases your damage, giving you a way to ramp up DPS during fights.
Mystic Skills
For survivability in difficult fights,
Golden Body is one of the strongest tools available. Even though it costs a large amount of vitality, the protection it gives and the Fortitude effect make it extremely useful when you need CC immunity to stay alive. When you want to pressure enemies from a safe distance,
Meridian Touch is an effective choice. It can force players to react early or allow you to Execute weakened targets without having to get close.
Dragon's Breath offers quick damage during combos and is also helpful when used defensively, especially if an enemy rushes you. To catch opponents,
Cloud Steps gives you a sudden burst of movement. It helps you catch players who are trying to escape, though it can still be blocked by someone who expects it.
For crowd control,
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are dependable picks because they can knock enemies down and deal Qi damage.
Talon Strike is harder to land and deals less damage, but its ability to pass through block makes it especially strong against defensive players. Your most important Mystic Skill in PVP remains
Serene Breeze. It breaks you out of CC chains and gives you a chance to recover or turn the fight around.
Rotations
- Begin the fight by catching an enemy off-guard with
Peak's Springless Silence then use
Moon Shatter Spring again to juggle the enemy in the air and deal damage.
Peak's Springless Silence can then be reused to teleport to your clone so you can use Light Attacks from range or continue the rotation with the
Heavenquaker Spear.
- Once swapped to the
Heavenquaker Spear, use
Sober Sorrow alongside
Sweep All.
