Heavenquaker Spear & Mortal Rope Dart PvP Build
- Easy to Play
- Good AOE Damage
- Good Catch
- Takes time to get used to
- Can be countered easily
- Cluttered visuals
Overview
This build focuses on pairing the
Mortal Rope Dart with its good catch potential thanks to the
Bladebound Thread and the CC immunity provided by
Rodent's Resilience so you can always have the opportunity of engaging into combos while having priority to attack. Meanwhile, the
Heavenquaker Spear offers great AOE damage capable of bursting down targets caught in AOE CC by your allies, pairing perfectly with players that use the
Thundercry Blade in group PVP content.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Morale Chant remains one of the top choices in Where Winds Meet, not only in PVP but also PVE. Add
Trapped Beast into the build to add extra durability as a shield pops up when your HP goes low enough, making it more difficult to die during a combo.
Seasonal Edge adds extra damage by buffing you when you use (
Dual-Weapon Skill). And of course,
Wolfchaser's Art helps with buffing up faster when using
Sober Sorrow.
Mystic Skills
Serene Breeze is one of the most important skills in PVP as it breaks you out of CC chains and gives you a chance to turn the fight around.
Cloud Steps is great for surprising enemies and quickly closing the gap, while
Dragon's Breath is useful for adding quick damage at the end of combos or defensively against enemies that pressure you. It applies a DOT that can stop enemies from making a comeback or slow down the fight enough for the dot damage to eat away at their HP/Shield.
Cloud Steps also helps with mobility, letting you jump between targets, and
Yaksha Rush is helpful for going through Block and dealing with enemies who hold their guard.
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are solid CC options since both can knock enemies down, though
Talon Strike is harder to land and doesn’t deal much damage.
Meridian Touch is good for chip damage and can also be used to finish targets from range by following up right after the hit.
Rotations
- Start with
Rodent's Resilience so you are immune to CC. Then, buff yourself with
Rodent Rampage to summon the rat before using
Bladebound Thread to grab onto a player, finish the channel of the combo before swapping into
Heavenquaker Spear and then continue the rotation with
Sweep All &
Sober Sorrow.
