Infernal Twinblades & Inkwell Fan PvP Build
- Good Range
- Good Damage
- Good Mobility
- Squishy
- High APM
Overview
This build is a great option for those players that enjoy a more different, combo-based weapon combination in PvP in Where Winds Meet. The
Inkwell Fan brings notable mobility, ranged pressure, and strong air-juggle potential while also giving you the option of using
Jadewind Shield to block out enemies and play defensively against aggressive in-your-face weapons like the
Strategic Sword.
Of course, the combo potential comes from the
Infernal Twinblades, capable of dealing a lot of single target damage on its own and perform very well in 1vs1 arenas due to its long combos and mobility.
Addled Mind and
Peak's Springless Silence are the perfect combination for staying on top of enemies and giving them no room to breathe.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Veil of the Willow + Beyond the Chill set combo and make sure to keep the buff active by weaving in Heavy and Light attacks as needed. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Begin with
Morale Chant, since it quickly becomes the driving force of the build. Every hit steadily ramps up your damage output, making it one of the most popular Inner Ways for increasing damage overall.
Next, take
Echoes of Oblivion. It strengthens your important light attacks and pairs perfectly with
Flamelash, giving you stronger burst opportunities whenever you find an opening.
For survivability, include
Trapped Beast. When your health drops low enough, it provides an additional shield that can keep you alive through enemy player combos or prevent you from getting finished off.
Wrap things up with
Seasonal Edge. It offers a buff whenever you swap weapons, helping overall DPS.
Mystic Skills
In PVP,
Serene Breeze is your most important Mystic Skill. It breaks you out of CC chains and gives you a chance to reset or turn the fight around.
For crowd control and Qi damage,
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are both reliable picks since they can knock enemies down.
Talon Strike hits for lower damage and is harder to land, but it becomes very useful against players who rely on blocking because it can pass straight through their guard.
Cloud Steps helps you close distance unexpectedly and pressure opponents who are trying to disengage, though enemies can still block it if they anticipate the move.
Dragon's Breath works well for fast follow-up damage during combos and can even be used defensively when someone rushes you or traps you against a wall.
To apply ranged pressure,
Meridian Touch is a great option. It can fake out enemy reactions or be used to Execute weakened targets from afar. For survivability,
Golden Body remains one of the strongest defensive abilities. Its vitality cost is high, but the protection it provides along with Fortitude (CC immunity) makes it extremely valuable in tough engagements.
Rotations
- Look for a moment to catch an enemy with
Addled Mind, then follow it with a full light-attack combo. After the combo, use
Addled Mind again and repeat this sequence two more times until all uses of
Addled Mind are consumed.
- After that, continue the rotation by using
Calamity's Greed and
Free Morph, then step back and activate
Flamelash to gain CC immunity before diving into your next combo.
- Start by using
Peak's Springless Silence to launch the enemy into the air, then follow up with
Moon Shatter Spring and finish the combo with
Soaring Spin to deal even mroe damage and also apply healing reduction, you can cancel out of the second attack by using Deflect.
