Mortal Rope Dart & Nameless Sword PvE Build
- Very High DPS
- Great Mobility
- Fun to Play
- High Skill Ceiling
- Stationary
- No Utility
Overview
This build uses the
Mortal Rope Dart for its high single target damage while
Nameless Sword allows you to move in and out of fights with ease as the
Shadow Step makes you jump backwards, do damage and then if pressed again it jumps you forward again to remain close to the boss/enemy you are fighting. This is one of the best builds for someone looking to play a more complex build that does very well in all content, from solo exploration to group boss fights. It offers enough complexity to grow into it as you advance in Where Winds Meet, truly mastering the game.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
Sword Morph is a very important skill as it boosts the damage of your
Vagrant Sword whenever you maintain the shield you gain from
Daunting Strike. Charging up
Vagrant Sword will release multiple waves of energy instead of a single one, dealing incredible damage with each one.
Morale Chant is one of the strongest PvE Inner Ways in Where Winds Meet and a core pick for most builds.
Insightful Strike provides additional Affinity Damage while also reducing incoming damage, making it a great offensive-defensive hybrid.
With
Vendetta, your
Bladebound Thread applies a longer-lasting Vendetta Token, allowing your rat to deal increased damage for a longer duration.
Mystic Skills
Dragon's Breath is one of the core skills in the game, providing strong and easy-to-maintain DoT damage that can be refreshed frequently during fights. After applying the burn, use Deflect to cancel the animation and resume attacking immediately.
Ghost Bind is a solid option for AoE crowd-control (CC), grouping mobs together so you can follow up with skills like
Flaming Meteor for reliable area damage, even if the burst isn’t instant.
Soaring Spin does great damage and can be used on cooldown to boost overall DPS.
Wolflike Frenzy knocks enemies down on the first hit and then pops them into the air just enough to combo into
Free Morph for an airjuggle combo.
Rotations
- This is the main rotation to deal damage. Begin with
Dragon's Breath before using
Rodent Rampage to buff up and get the rat out. Then, use
Bladebound Thread and Light Attacks until the rat goes away or your
Dragon's Breath expires, at which point you should re-apply it and transition into the
Nameless Sword rotation.
- Begin the rotation with
Daunting Strike until you have a shield, then use
Shadow Step to both deal damage and jump back before following up with
Vagrant Sword fully charged releasing more energy waves. Finish the rotation with
Soaring Spin to land on the back of the boss.
- Debuff the boss with both
Dragon's Breath and
Leaping Toad. Use
Daunting Strike until you have a shield, then use
Vagrant Sword fully charged releasing more energy waves. Swap into the Rope Rotation or just wait for CDs again while using
Leaping Toad on cooldown and
Dragon's Breath ticking on the boss.
