Strategic Sword & Infernal Twinblades PvE Build
- High Damage
- Easy to Play
- Low Range
- High Skill Ceiling
- Awkward to use at times
- No Utility
Overview
This build is making use of two high damage weapons,
Infernal Twinblades and the
Strategic Sword. With the goal of doing high damage quickly, the build focuses on bursting down targets in all PVE content, from boss fights in a group to solo exploration or story completion. This is the best build for someone looking to kill enemies quickly while maintaining high mobility thanks to the
Addled Mind, allowing you to move between targets quickly. While this build is great for all skill levels, it is particularly good for new players looking for something to play without putting much effort into learning complex combos.
Martial Arts
Inner Way
Sword Horizon is a core skill for the build as it adds extra moves into the
Strategic Sword, building up more bleed stacks while also doing more damage, making this a must to take without ramping up the difficulty as both
Inner Balance Strike III &
Inner Track Slash gain an extended combo without requiring different key combinations.
Morale Chant is one of the most powerful PVE skills in Where Winds Meet and the core Inner Way of most builds, it would be a mistake to not take this.
As the
Adaptive Steel increases your chance to apply bleeds, the
Insightful Strike adds extra Affinity Damage and has the chance of reducing damage taken.
Mystic Skills
Ghost Bind is a good skill for AOE CCing mobs together and prepare for another attack.
Flaming Meteor is a very powerful skill for dealing with stacks of mobs, doing good damage in 3 hits.
Wolflike Frenzy &
Free Morph are both super good for dealing good damage while the bosses are knocked down or otherwise you have an opening.
Dragon's Breath is another good option for DOT damage, burning up enemies quickly before using Deflect to get out of the animation and let them burn.
Soaring Spin is useful for extra gap closing and doing good damage quickly.
Rotations
- Just like the other rotation, you want to use
Dragon's Breath first to put burns on a target. Continue with
Addled Mind, then follow up with
Calamity's Greed to keep the combo going. After that, use
Addled Mind again and switch back to
Calamity's Greed. Finish the sequence with
Wolflike Frenzy for extra damage. You can also use
Free Morph instead, as it works in almost the same way.
Make sure to always have
Dragon's Breath active on the boss if you can.
- While this isn't a complex rotation, it gets much better once you've unlocked and started using
Sword Horizon. Begin the rotation by using
Dragon's Breath to stack up fires on a target. Begin with
Inner Track Slash full combo straight into
Inner Balance Strike III for an extended combo.
