Strategic Sword & Inkwell Fan PvP Build
- Good Mobility
- Good CC
- Fun to Play
- Good Range
- Takes time to learn
- Lots of room for mistakes
Overview
The
Inkwell Fan brings valuable ranged pressure to the setup and can keep opponents airborne with its juggling capabilities. Its access to
Jadewind Shield adds an extra layer of control, allowing you to maintain distance and wait safely for
Strategic Sword CDs.
Once your
Strategic Sword abilities are ready, the weapon becomes the core source of damage.
Inner Track Slash delivers a strong multi-hit sequence, and this is pushed even further with
Sword Horizon, which extends the combo.
Inner Balance Strike III contributes additional hits to round out the chain. By combining the fan’s mobility and control with the sword’s stunlock potential and extended combos, the build supports a fluid, combo-driven playstyle. It suits players who prefer to stay mobile, pressure opponents from different ranges, and create openings for long damage strings.
Martial Arts
Gear
While the Gear part of the build is still under development and more information will come soon, you should use the Hawkwing + Eaglerise set combo. This part of the build is still under construction as far as specific stats go.
Inner Way
To maintain strong pressure during longer engagements,
Morale Chant serves as the main DPS option. Your damage increases with every hit you land, making it one of the most reliable Inner Ways for steady scaling in PVP. For extending your
Strategic Sword combos,
Sword Horizon is essential. It adds extra damage and enhances the performance of your other sword skills, allowing your full chains to hit harder and flow better.
A dependable defensive option is
Trapped Beast. When your health drops low, it generates a shield that can keep you alive through enemy combos and give you the time needed to reset the fight. To close out the setup,
Seasonal Edge provides a helpful boost whenever you switch weapons, giving you a buff without having to think about it.
Mystic Skills
To apply pressure from range,
Meridian Touch works well. It can draw out enemy reactions or allow you to Execute weakened targets from a safe distance. For controlling opponents,
Leaping Toad and
Talon Strike are great. Both skills can knock enemies down, and while
Talon Strike deals less damage and is harder to land, it becomes especially useful against players who rely heavily on blocking because it can pass through their guard.
When you need to engage quickly,
Cloud Steps gives you a sudden gap-closer. It helps you reach opponents who try to disengage, though it can still be blocked by someone who predicts it. Use
Dragon's Breath as defensive whenever you need a moment to wait for CDs as enemies can't push in front of you but you can also use it to put a burn on them at the end of combos.
For defense,
Golden Body remains one of the strongest choices. The vitality cost is high, but the protection and Fortitude it provides make it effective during tough encounters and can secure fights if you have the vitality to use it. Your most important Mystic Skill for PVP is
Serene Breeze. It breaks you out of CC chains and gives you the chance to reset the engagement or swing the fight back in your favor.
Rotations
- Begin with
Peak's Springless Silence to catch an enemy and pop them into the air before using
Moon Shatter Spring to deal some airborne damage before either using
Peak's Springless Silence again to teleport to your clone (if the enemy breaks out of CC) or continue with
Inner Track Slash full combo then into
Inner Balance Strike III before moving behind a
Jadewind Shield to wait CDs and throw Fan Light Attacks from range to further harass the enemy.
