Overview

Power Catalyst is a complex and fast-paced build that provides strong melee damage as well as some Might Might, Fury Fury, Resolution Resolution and Protection Protection for your group.

Catalyst brings its Jade Sphere that drops stationary damage and boon fields that your utility skills interact with for bonus effectiveness. This two unique mechanic means that Catalyst greatly prefers fights against low-movement bosses.

The Bloodstone build uses Scepter/Dagger to provide blast finishers that consistently trigger Relic of Bloodstone.

Like all Catalyst builds, it requires speed and precision to perform well and while the concept is simple, it is easier to disrupt than the Sword Build.

Specializations

  • Persisting Flames provides more burst damage and performs better on bosses with low armour - Inferno pulls ahead after ~35 seconds.
    • Note that Persisting Flames requires different runes and sigils.
  • You should bring Raging Storm if Fury Fury uptime is bad.
  • Fresh Air is also an option, though it is harder to play and slightly less damage than Bolt to the Heart. The main value would be better access to Air Attunement for CC.

Utility


Usage

The loop is shorter than the cooldown of Relentless Fire, so this skill will drift in your rotation. Try to use it when your Deploy Jade Sphere (Fire) is active, though you don't have to be in Fire Attunement.


You can precast Rock Barrier in Earth Attunement.

Start in Fire Attunement. Summon Glyph of Elementals just before the encounter starts.

Throughout the rotation, cast Flame Barrage off cooldown, and Glyph of Storms off cooldown whenever you're in Fire Attunement.

You want to use four blast finishers each loop to trigger the Relic of Bloodstone explosion and damage buff. If you miss any of the four, then you should use Arcane Brilliance instead.


If using Arcane Blast, spam it as much as you can while in Fire Attunement, ideally while under the effects of Relentless Fire.
