Overview

This is another take on Daredevil with Spear and Deadly Arts. This is a mixed of assassin and bruiser. Strong opening combo with reliable follow-ups.

Overview

The big reason why we are taking Deadly Arts is because of Even the Odds. However, most of the traits actually adds something to this build. Tho, we will only mention most important ones.

Burst Combo

Vampiric Slash + Steal > Falling Spider At first look, this combo looks plain. Now, lets see what's actually happening behind this.

Steal does the following:

  • Mug - extra damage
  • Sleight of Hand - Procs Sigil of Superior Sigil of Celerity for Quickness Quickness
  • Even the Odds - Applies Vulnerability Vulnerability
  • Relic of Fireworks - boost damage

Vampiric Slash

  • Because of Vulnerability Vulnerability, Vampiric Slash will do more damage. Note: Per tooltip, vulnerable will only increase health siphon. Tho, it actually applies to siphon damage too.
  • Will procs Sigil of Superior Sigil of Air for extra damage if attack crits.

Falling Spider

  • Daze Daze from Sleight of Hand will makes the skill to deal more damage. Quickness Quickness helps to get that window from Daze Daze.

Follow-ups:

  • Spear4 > 4. Can interrupt heal
  • Range or Melee AA is reliable.
  • 222 if you need the Immobilize Immobilize.
  • 333 if you need gap closer, life-steal, stealth and dodge. Ashen Assault if available.
  • Shadow Veil after finisher if you expecting incoming attacks.

Note:

  • Applying Basilisk Venom helps to land the combo more easier
  • Falling Spider + Steal can be use as alternative short burst.

Offense

The burst combo and short burst is your main damage.

Damage Sustain

  • Auto-Attack
  • Spear3 > 3 > 3. Gap closer, life-steal, stealth + dodge. Perfect when trading damage.
  • Spear2 > 2 > 2. I can only recommend this if there's no threat around. Else, use 333 because of sustains it offers.

Defense

This build doesn't use Acrobatics nor Shadow Arts. Therefore, we need to be creative and shameless to survive.

Condi Cleanse is very limited.

  • Signet of Agility and Sigil of Superior Sigil of Cleansing are your main source of cleanse.
  • Escapist's Fortitude and having ample of endurance, this trait can help with condi cleansing.
  • Infiltrator's Strike can also be source of cleansing.

Defensive plan

  • Keep distance. Unhindered Combatant, Unsuspecting Strike. You don't want to face tank anything. Unless;
  • Shadow Veil can block attack(s). Blocking attack heals you. If used after a finisher, you can cancel the animation and the effects will stay for duration. It means, you can do your offense while the skill effect is still there.
  • Dodge and Shattering Assault - Evade attacks. If you gain Stealth Stealth, your options are keep hidden and reposition. Ashen Assault with no target to recover 24px Initiative and/or deal damage.
  • Chain your Unhindered Combatant, Unsuspecting Strike, Shattering Assault, Shadow Veil to sustain your health.
