Evoker - Power Evoker Fire Inferno

Part of the current metagame

Our curator decided this build is in the current metagame regardless of rating. The community gave this build a rating, making it top-tier: Great

Focused on: Strike damage

Designed for: Open World and Open World General

Expansions required: Visions of Eternity builds

Difficulty:
Normal

This build was last updated on November 02, 2025 and is up to date for the August 19, 2025 patch.

Overview

Fire evoker is an extremely fast paced build with crazy high Actions Per Minute. By specialising in Fire Attunement with Specialized Elements, you can truly spam your skills to melt your enemies with Burning Burning, which scales with your power damage due to Inferno. However, you cannot attune to the other elements.

You also provide permanent Quickness Quickness and very high amounts of Might Might.

We do not recommed this build if you struggle with high APM. Make sure F5 Ignite is bound to a key that is easy to press for you.

This build is clearly overpowered and will be nerfed at some point, but enjoy it while it lasts.

Scepter/Focus
Utility
  • Choose Ignite, the fire fox, as your familiar. Due to the trait Specialized Elements, you can only attune to Fire Attunement.

Weapon Variants

  • Warhorn Warhorn - less damage and skill spam, but easier Might Might share with nearby allies. Requires weaponmaster training with Secrets of the Obscure.
  • Offhand dagger Offhand dagger - might be good in open world since enemies are unlikely to sit in Focus' Flamewall.

Skill Variants

Heals

We default to Rejuvenate as it heals and also charges your familiar skill. Other alternatives are:

  • Signet of Restoration as it provides good passive healing and works great with evoker's fast-paced playstyle, but very weak heal on demand, leaving you vulnerable to burst damage.
  • Glyph of Elemental Harmony - strong burst healing and a boon based on attunement.
  • Arcane Brilliance - weak heal by default, but is greatly increased if it strikes nearby enemies. Performs a blast finisher, and heals for more when doing so. Excellent synergy with water combo fields. (See: Guide:What are Combo Fields).
  • Ether Renewal - very high healing and condition removal throughout its long channelling time. Great option for raw healing if you can afford the cast time.

Utilities

Fox's Fury is a great source of damage and boons, and a stun break. Never replace it.
Signet of Fire is a great source of damage with its active skill. It should not be replaced unless really needed.
Armor of Earth is a stunbreak and gives barrier and Stability Stability. Can be replaced if needed.
Other alternatives are:

  • Arcane Shield - great stunbreak that blocks attacks.
  • Glyph of Elemental Power - very flexible skill that can do damage, or cleanse conditions, or daze enemies, or give barrier, depending on your current attunement, and breaks stun.
  • Cleansing Fire - burning, condition cleanse, and stun break.
  • Lightning Flash - mobility.
  • Glyph of Storms - AoE damage.

Elites

Glyph of Elementals - creates a fire elemental summon with good damage. Other alternatives are:

  • Elemental Procession if you don't like having a pet, this is a good option. It is also a good hard crowd control option.

Specializations

Variants
  • Stormsoul - extra damage when playing in groups and someone else is providing Fury Fury.
  • Familiar's Focus - when playing in groups and someone else is already providing Quickness Quickness.

Relic

If you are gearing this character from zero, start with exotic quality gear. Search the trading post for "Zhed" armor, "Bonetti's Rapier" sword, "Usoku's Needle" dagger, "Kodanroar" warhorn. Upgrade to ascended gear as you progress. See also: Guide:How to Gear a Character.

  • You achieve 100% burning duration with this set up. Inferno makes burning scale with power.
  • Fous can be replaced with dagger since in open world enemies are unlikely to sit in focus' Flamewall
  • You can use Relic of Fireworks if you don't have Bloodstone, or Relic of Zakiros to trade a minor amount of damage for sustain.
  • For defense, equip the highest tier Jade Core you can afford. Use defensive food or skills if required.

Budget consumables are acceptable for use in open world.

Usage

Evocation

Evocation is the profession mechanic of the evoker. You specialise in one attunement and gain a familiar of that element. In this build, you specialise in Fire Attunement, gaining the Ignite skill and the fire fox familiar. With the fox, you gain Might Might when you inflict Burning Burning. After casting Ignite three times, you gain Conflagration.

Moreover, due to the trait Specialized Elements, you can only attune to Fire Attunement, and Ignite charges up faster.

Damage

This build revolves around the trait Inferno, making Burning Burning scale with your power.

Make sure F5 Ignite is bound to a key that is easy to press for you.

After casting two weapon skills, cast Ignite for damage. This also reduces all your weapon skills' cooldowns by 2 seconds.

After casting Ignite 3 times, cast Conflagration. This also reduces all your weapon skills' cooldowns by 6 seconds.

Make sure to cast Dragon's Tooth and Phoenix inside your fire fields (Flamewall with Focus Focus, Ring of Fire (elementalist) with Dagger Dagger) to create a combo finisher, generating Might Might and charging up Relic of Bloodstone. (See: Guide:What are Combo Fields).

Defense

  • Move out of attacks while casting your skills. Dodge incoming telegraphed attacks.
  • Armor of Earth is a stunbreak and gives barrier and Stability Stability

Crowd Control

You do not have any crowd control whatsoever. If CC is required, swap to:

  • Elemental Procession

Overpowered and not difficult to play, although it has very high APM even for elementalist's standards.
