Designed for:

A power DPS build for Herald. One of the very first raid DPS builds in the Heart of Thorns era, this build has now returned to viability. Its ability to provide good sustained damage, very good CC, Vulnerability Vulnerability and , while supporting your whole squad with a variety of boons, life-siphon and extra boon duration makes Power Herald an extremely helpful addition for every encounter.
While not being the best choice in most encounters, this build is easy to play & is able to Sustain itself very well, making it a good build for beginners.

    • Use instead of in this case.

  • Use instead of if another revenant is providing .

  • Use if your other supports are unable to keep your might uptime capped.
  • Use if you have another party member providing protection.

  • Consider using instead of if your party is desperate for extra might and fury generation. Making this change will significantly reduce your personal damage output but is better for the group if there are no better sources of boons.
  • Use if extra boon removal is needed.

This build sadly is only somewhat decent in bad pugs...You lack burst, and basically fill in the gaps with your boons which almost any other class can do. For the purpose of boon support, I'd rather run a heal herald since your spread out DPS is of little use if your squad is dropping like flies.

Very good build. Definitely easy to top the dps charts once you get the hang of it. One thing that bothers me about this guide is that it says it provides access to Stability...so unless I'm blind, I dont see that being the case at all.

This build deals solid DPS with an easy rotation, and has fast access to CC. In disorganized groups that don't have a Chrono or Druid, it can also hard carry with the boons from Glint while still dealing very respectable personal DPS.

I would actually give this build a silver/gold rating, as the build is solid, but will never be meta in the current climate.

- Solid DPS (33,460)

- Simple rotation

- Provides Assassin's Presence

- Access to very powerful CC

- The build has little to no burst, negating the benefits of a power build

- The energy system makes it very hard to use extra skills

- The build is VERY reliant on quickness due to its reliance on Auto-attacking

- Swapping to Staff/using Jade Winds for CC is VERY large DPS loss

- Reliant on boons for DPS

In relation to the other Power DPS in this DPS tier: Holosmith, Dragonhunter, and Soulbeast, you'll have a much harder time being taken seriously and thus getting into groups. In terms of Revenant DPS, there isn't really a point in gearing this up as Condi Renegade is simply better.

TL;DR This build is solid, but when compared to other builds, it's subpar.

Deals acceptable DPS with a simple rotation while also bringing team support in the form of Assassin's presence with no DPS tradeoff (unlike condi renegade). Can also output strong CC in a pinch with staff skills and Jade Wind + Forced Engagement.

All in all a great build that has re-emerged from years of mediocrity thanks to a gradual buffs finally pushing it over the threshold of playability.
