Surviving

  • This build has high passive defense
  • This build has low mobility skill access
  • This build has low active defenses
    • gives an unlisted 50% damage reduction
    • is an instant cast that should be used whenever entering shroud
      • Try not to use up all of your Life Force defensively, save enough for if possible

Detailed Explanations

Wells

  • Save your for the commanders call
    • If you aren't using voice communication, Try to use your well at the same time as the other Necromancers in your group
  • When using ground AoEs like , try to place them so that one edge is on the enemy group and the other edge is in the direction they are moving to

Boon removal

  • with provides a large part of your boon removal, use it as often as possible
    • Make sure to target players on the side of the enemy group so you can safely finish the cast
    • Only the final hit removes boons
  • It can sometimes be worth entering and immediately leaving to proc and other traits
    • Only do this if you won't have a good opportunity to use shroud skills for a time - such as when crossing the enemy - or if lifeforce is low
  • Cast and as often as possible while in range
  • Use as the enemy group pushes into yours or while engaged in melee

Single target

Damage

CC

  • Use at range or when the enemy group is moving away, never while the enemy is crossing or pushing into yours
  • can be canceled with a Stow Weapon keybind after ~0.25s into the cast and will still finish casting
  • Use when your group is spiking or you see an enemy without Stability Stability in range

A solid damage build for reaper in the current condi meta. However, this isn't a meta build in my opinion. Condi scourge definitely fill the necro dps role due to it's dmg output as well as utility (transfusion and barrier). Shout Reaper should be knocked down to the Great category.

It is an "okay" build which could be played if you don't hace scourge available (which has a better toolset for your group)
