Overview

A burst focused Power Reaper build for WvW roaming. While the build essentially uses 3 offensive specializations, we can still get a decent amount of healing from the weapons as well as excellent Life Force generation via traits.

Utility

  • Summon Flesh Wurm - ranged teleport and stun break, useful for disengaging or chasing down targets.
  • Corrosive Poison Cloud - creates a safe zone against ranged enemies, could help against some popular specs like Deadeyes or Soulbeasts and the Weakness Weakness shuts down power-based builds in melee too. Furthermore the healing reduction from Poison Poison could help you wear down tanky Cele builds.
  • Well of Darkness - both a defensive and offensive option due to the conditions it offers + the damage.
  • Well of Power - sustain option in case you're struggling in condition matchups. Also adds an extra stunbreak.
  • Spectral Grasp - ranged CC which stops enemies from escaping, and even helps with LF management.

Blood Magic can replace Soul Reaping if you want more sustain. You do lose some mobility with this, so either Rune of Superior Rune of Surging or Relic of the Wayfinder should be taken:

Stats

  • If you're playing with Blood Magic Blood Magic, swap the 6 Dragon armor pieces to Marauder to compensate for the lower crit chance.

Relics

  • Relic of the Twin Generals - Might Might procs for trait synergy + a defensive Weakness Weakness proc. Best option if you don't want to deal with the current relic.
  • Relic of Speed - significantly increases your mobility, which helps you chase down enemies or build distance when you need to play defensively. Only works with Soul Reaping Soul Reaping, otherwise you won't have Swiftness Swiftness.
  • Relic of Fireworks - damage boost.

Consumables

Food

  • - passive damage mitigation and Might Might procs for damage and sustain via trait synergy.
  • - active damage mitigation, also retains some of the Might Might stacks.
    • - budget version.

Utility

  • or , whichever is cheaper (note that the sharpening stone lasts twice as long).

One of the best and easiest builds in WvW right now. Abundant and overtuned life steal adds lots of extra healing as well as armor ignoring damage. Mobility's pretty good too as far as Necro's concerned. There's no mass cleanse, maybe that's the one difficulty, but you have plenty of tools for dealing with conditions once you get used to the build.
