Overview
Hello gamers! TL;DR: This version of Untamed for WvW provides massive damage output when facing cloudy and semi-cloudy groups. (Longer Intro): I wanted to somehow test this build in a cloudfiesta period. Turns out Alliances beta provided just that! I've it played for a few raids in a row (ranging from "quite cloudy" to "organized but still kinda cloudy") and the damage was incredible. You too can experience your Marksman/Archer/Hunter/Legolas fantasy! Enjoy!
PROS: Consistently high ranged damage
CONS: Not great in melee fights

Usage
General
- Keep track of WeaponSwap (WS), Rapid Fire (LB2) and Barrage (LB5) cooldowns. You will generally want to WS into LB5 on cooldown. You may opt to reduce the cooldown of LB2 when you are chasing the enemy group (since you can run while channeling it).
- You can greatly reduce the cooldown of Forest's Fortification. A well executed (and placed) combination of Barrage, Rapid Fire (with Signet of the Hunt) and pet's unleashed abilities (Venomous Outburst, Rending Vines, Enveloping Haze) will make it practically no cooldown. Having said that, it is not something that is consistently achievable (due to Crowd Control, group movements, pet dying etc.).
Overall Priorities
- High
- Pump.
- Position well to continue pumping.
- Don't start a Barrage cast when your group is moving because you will likely get caught and die (and therefore cease to pump).
Surviving
- This build has little-to-no mobility skill access
- This builds has high active defenses (but also high cd)
Tips & Tricks
- It takes some time to get into the flow (in order to maximise the output) but once you get comfortable with it your damage increases significantly.
- You can cast LB5 outside of your character's Line of Sight (LoS) as long as you can place your mouse's cursor on the spot and it's within range.
- With correct usage of Point-Blank Shot ( ) and you can often sneak in an extra LB2 before you WS for LB5 again.
- Between
Fury (considering that in these types of fights you drop combat quite often). By keeping an eye on your
Fury duration you can cast Moa's F2 ( ) when it's necessary.
and you can maintain a decent enough uptime of - Consider equipping a quiver skin for your back item for maximum swag.
