Overview

Power Willbender offers very high burst damage from melee range in a small AoE, high vulnerability application and has excellent mobility. It also provides high Might and Fury to itself and allies.

Weapon Variants

Usage of Spear requires the Janthir Wilds expansion.

• Longbow - provides high burst damage from range, but has slightly lower damage.
• Mainhand Sword + Focus - default set for players without Spear.

Skill Variants

Heal

Litany of Wrath provides insane sustain, making you almost immmortal for its duration.

• Signet of Resolve can be considered as a more defensive option.
• Reversal of Fortune - blocks one attack but has weaker healing.

Utility

Swap out Bane Signet. first, then Flash Combo.

• Heel Crack - moderate CC on a short cooldown
• "Stand Your Ground!" - defense; area Stability and personal stunbreak.
• "Advance!" - provides on-demand Aegis and Swiftness. Good in zergs or when fighting enemies with predictable attack patterns.
• "Hold the Line!" - Protection for yourself and allies.
• Smite Condition - condi cleanse
• Wall of Reflection - excellent projectile reflection
• Sanctuary - projectile block and extreme CC, though it has a long cooldown

Elite

• "Feel My Wrath!" - Quickness and Fury
• Renewed Focus - invulnerability on a long cooldown.

Equipment

Ascended gear is not required. This set uses gear similar to that of its raid variant; as such, it is excellent for general PVE.

Usage

Virtues

Willbender virtues lose their passive effects, but their activations are more useful.

It is extremely important to periodically use your virtues to maintain stacks of Lethal Tempo, which is empowered by Tyrant's Momentum; and maintain Inspiring Virtue. They also provide boons through Holy Reckoning.

Damage

• Turn off "Melee Attack Assist" in Options. This allows you to use Whirling Wrath and Binding Blade inside an enemy's hitbox so that all projectiles hit your target.
• Make sure to hit enemies with your symbols to gain stacks of Symbolic Avenger and inflict vulnerability from Symbolic Exposure.
• Maintain uptime on Inspiring Virtue with Virtues. Prioritise Rushing Justice to gain boons from Holy Reckoning.
• Use Sword of Justice at the start to apply vulnerability, and then periodically throughout the fight instead of autoattacks.
• Make sure to use Symbol of Luminance first to empower your other spear skills with Illuminated.

Opener

This is a basic opener that can easily be performed with no Alacrity or Quickness. Use Rushing Justice off cooldown; use Flowing Resolve or Crashing Courage to maintain Inspiring Virtue. Fill gaps with auto-attacks and Sword of Justice. Open on Spear

• Conceited Curate - defensive variant, very high healing
