Overview

Condi Harbinger is a versatile build for Necromancer that shares gear with the condition Quickness Quickness variant for group PvE content and only requires minor tweaks to be able to be played as a full dps build. It provides itself and its subgroup with permanent Quickness Quickness and Fury Fury as well as a good amount of Might Might. It also has great CC capabilities through Vital Draw, Voracious Arc and Vile Blast.

Utility
  • Epidemic can be taken instead of Blood Is Power whenever cleave damage is required to kill adds quickly.
  • If you need a stun break and additional condi cleanse, Spectral Walk is a good choice that includes both.
  • Focus is used for easy life force generation whenever you do not have enemies dying around you (boss fights without or with only a few adds); for general OW roaming, dagger is the go-to weapon.

Specializations

  • Parasitic Contagion can be taken for a nice boost to survivability at the cost of some condition damage.

Death Magic

  • Death Magic leads to a vast amount of defense at the cost of damage and replaces Soul Reaping.
  • For condi cleanse and transfer, you can replace Plaguelands by Summon Flesh Golem and take Necromantic Corruption.
  • With more minions, take Flesh of the Master as well.

Equipment

  • Ascended gear and stat infusions are not required; you can use exotic gear with the same stats.

This build uses the standard raid gear, making it ideal for general PVE.

Usage

Damage

  • You can avoid a lot of damage by staying at range; only Devouring Cut and Voracious Arc require you to be close to the target.
  • Outside of shroud, you can use all skills aside from Spinal Shivers on cooldown.
  • You provide Quickness Quickness and Fury Fury periodically while in Harbinger Shroud, so make sure to go into shroud as often as possible.
  • Blood Is Power should be used close to going into Harbinger Shroud to transfer the self-applied Torment Torment and Bleeding Bleeding with the maximum duration through Plague Sending and avoid them being cleansed in the meantime.

Survivability

  • Elixir of Promise is your main source of healing, so use it whenever you need it. Make sure to throw it close to yourself to apply the stacks of Blight to yourself.
  • You heal passively for every stack of Blight through Alchemic Vigor, so try to have many stacks on you. If you want to maintain 20-25 stacks at the cost of some damage, skip Devouring Cut and Voracious Arc because they are the main sources of Blight consumption.
  • For harder encounters, swapping to Death Magic instead of Soul Reaping is the most convenient and easy-going option for additional surviability.

More information on the general usage and rotation is provided in the video down below:

Decent damage, mobility, and boon generation are nice, your allies will appreciate the quickness. But you're more fragile than other necro builds for very little tradeoff, so there's not much reason to play this over condi scourge or power reaper.

TBH, if there is 4.5 rating, I'd give to this build but that didn't happen cause IMO it has 2 problems, first, it depend on expensive runes and sigils which if someone tried this build they wouldn't run it as intended to explore its full potential, as for the 2nd reason, it's not as effective as other builds in fighting mobs in great numbers such as when in HoT or some PoF maps, Power Reaper or Barrier Scourge are better in dealing with these situations but when it comes to fighting bosses such as fractal and strike bosses in a group, your Harbinger build is the superior choice.
