Focused on: Healing and Support

Designed for: Raids

Difficulty:
TBD
This build was last updated on January 26, 2023.

Overview

Warrior can provide permanent Quickness Quickness and strong healing output with an extremely flexible build based around Doubled Standards and Vigorous Shouts. The on-demand revives of Battle Standard make this an ideal build for commanders training new players in strikes and raids. Variants can provide 25 Might, additional healing, or additional CC as needed.

While offering lower healing than other healers, it has excellent condition cleanse and on encounters with many conditions it will excel due to the additional healing from Shrug It Off.

The simplicity of this build can make it a suitable Low Intensity (LI) option for strikes and raids.

Skill Variants

Weapons
  • Axe is the highest DPS option, though you won't be dealing much damage. It can proc Lush Forest on Bladesworn and provide two combo finishers for condition removal in Light fields.
  • Maces can be brought in either slot to provide CC. Mace's burst skill Skull Crack does extremely high breakbar damage when combined with Sigil of Superior Sigil of Paralyzation and Merciless Hammer.
  • Longbow can provide a good amount of Might with Combustive Shot dropping a 9-second fire combo field. Arcing Arrow and your Warhorn skills are all blast finishers. Longbow is also a good ranged option for tagging mobs in open world or festival farming.
  • Mace (main hand) and/or Shield can provide blocks to hand kite Deimos in Bastion of the Penitent.

Utility skills
  • "For Great Justice!" if bringing Bladesworn to drop one banner.
    • Can also replace "Shake It Off!" on encounters with no conditions to cleanse.
  • Signet of Rage if you don't need revives.

Specializations

Variants

  • Roaring Reveille and Empower Allies if bringing Bladesworn (see variant below)
  • Shield Master if bringing a shield. This can be helpful if you're hand kiting Deimos in Bastion of the Penitent.
  • Merciless Hammer if bringing mace/s and focusing on CC output.

Specialization Variants

Discipline and Tactics are the core specializations of this build that make it provide both Quickness and healing. You have a lot of freedom to adjust your third specialization for any given situation.

Bladesworn over Defense to make use of Lush Forest's cooldown reduction, allowing you to bring only one banner (Banner of Tactics) and add "For Great Justice!" to provide 25 stacks of Might and additional burst healing. You will give up substantial barrier and Regeneration by dropping Banner of Defense, however.

Berserker over Defense if you're having difficulty getting enough adrenaline to proc Marching Orders every ten seconds. You will gain 300 Toughness with this variant and will likely be tanking.

Spellbreaker over Defense for encounters where boonstripping is helpful. This mainly applies to Dhuum, where Spellbreaker can bring Winds of Disenchantment to prevent Dhuum from benefiting from his timed boonstealing mechanic. Vale Guardian, Xera, The Broken King, Slothasor, and Matthias can see limited benefit.

Spellbreaker can also replace Tactics if you're hand kiting at Deimos (see below for details).

Equipment Variants

Zealot stats. If you are bringing more than one banner and somebody else is providing Might, you can reduce Concentration to provide slightly more DPS.

Sigils

  • Sigil of Superior Sigil of Renewal for a small burst heal on demand. Can weapon swap on cooldown even if you only bring one weapon set; place the main hand in one set and the offhand in the other.
  • Sigil of Superior Sigil of Paralyzation if bringing Mace to focus on CC output.
  • Sigil of Superior Sigil of Concentration if providing Might or if struggling with Quickness or Regeneration uptime.
  • Sigil of Superior Sigil of Water can add healing if you're using Zealot stats and have some Precision.

Consumables

Food

  • if you are running Bladesworn and your gear is not getting you to 100% Boon Duration. Only necessary if you are taking only one banner.

Utility

  • if you are running Bladesworn and your gear is not getting you to 100% Boon Duration. Only necessary if you are taking only one banner.

Usage

  • Using your banners off cooldown will provide perma quickness for your subgroup.
  • Shouts and Warhorn skills will provide healing, condition cleanse, and barrier.
  • Battle Standard can be dropped on downed teammates to revive, providing a budget version of Heal Scourge's Transfusion.
  • If you are taking Bladesworn, you want to use the first round of every ammo skill as often as possible, including Triggerguard, Flicker Step, and your Gunsaber ammo skills to reduce the cooldown of your one banner.

Even when not having the full stats for the build I am reliably able solo heal Captain Mai Trin in fractal scale 42 and keep even squishy Elementalists alive while tanking all the damaging mechanics. Great build, easy to use, and not too difficult with plenty of room for situational changes to the utility skills.
