Overview

Scrapper boon support build capable of providing good DPS along with 100% Quickness Quickness and Superspeed Superspeed uptime to five targets.

This build fills the role of quickness source for your subgroup, and it can generate ~60% Fury Fury and ~18 Might Might.

Impact Savant allows it to tank without investing in extra survivability, maximising damage on encounters that would otherwise force the tank to gear more defensively.

Skill Variants

Function Gyro, Rocket Charge, Throw Mine, and the occasional Orbital Command Strike from Aim-Assisted Rocket provide enough finishers to maintain Quickness Quickness without any boon duration. Healing Turret and Blast Gyro provide some additional padding as well as some nice utility. This also allows you to use Function Gyro more reactively in case resses are needed.


Healing
Healing Turret provides a handy extra combo field and blast finisher. However, you should have enough quickness to manage without it so it could be replaced with:

  • A.E.D. for the damage reversal or CC.
  • Medic Gyro for more Superspeed Superspeed uptime or ~30% Protection Protection from Reconstruction Field.


Utility
Throw Mine and Blast Gyro provide ~30% of your Quickness Quickness uptime each, while Grenade Kit is your only way to trigger Aim-Assisted Rocket and thus provides ~15% Quickness Quickness uptime. As such, you have to keep two of these skills on your bar unless you take extra boon duration. Grenade Kit is your highest DPS utility, followed by Throw Mine.

  • For maximum damage, you can replace Blast Gyro with Shredder Gyro.
  • Bulwark Gyro could be used if the groups needs Stability Stability, barrier or projectile defense. This is a significant DPS loss.
  • Purge Gyro could also be taken for a potent condi cleanse, but with the same caveats as above.


Elite

  • Sneak Gyro will provide Stealth Stealth to five targets, which can be very potent in the right situation. Avoid using it in general, however, as Stealth Stealth can interrupt players attacks and it interferes with deadeye rotations that rely on Stealth Stealthing only at the correct time.
  • Charr can bring Artillery Barrage. It deals better damage than Elite Mortar Kit on shorter fights, especially if it can be pre-cast before the boss is vulnerable.

  • Pinpoint Distribution to maximise your Might Might. Note this is a DPS loss and sacrifices your Fury Fury generation.
  • Explosive Temper should be taken if you're not using Grenade Kit, as there won't be anything to trigger Aim-Assisted Rocket.
  • Mass Momentum allows you to provide Stability Stability to allies via Function Gyro, and would be less of a DPS loss than taking Bulwark Gyro.

  • This setup requires no boon duration, relying entirely on Kinetic Accelerators.
  • If you find yourself wanting more boon duration, you could do the following, in order of efficiency:
    • Switch one or more pieces to Diviner stats Diviner stats.
    • Switch the Sigil of Superior Sigil of Impact for a Sigil of Superior Sigil of Concentration.
    • Use food such as (or ascended alternatives), or .
  • The Dragon stats Dragon stats pieces are a tiny dps increase, so you can run full Berserker stats Berserker stats if you prefer.

Usage

  • You generate Quickness Quickness by using a blast or leap finisher inside a combo field.
  • Use Function Gyro, Rocket Charge, Blast Gyro and Throw Mine off cooldown for their finishers.
    • Blast Gyro and Throw Mine have the same cooldown, so using Blast Gyro Throw Mine is an easy way to ensure a combo.
    • Healing Turret Detonate Healing Turret can be used if there are any gaps in Quickness Quickness uptime.
  • You have enough boon duration that you can slightly delay your blast skills if necessary. In particular you might want to use Function Gyro to revive someone, or delay Blast Gyro for a defiance bar. You shouldn't delay for too long though or your Quickness Quickness uptime will suffer!
  • If tanking, the sustain from Impact Savant depends on attacking, so don't slack on your DPS.
  • Hammer is an overloaded weapon in terms of utility: Electro-whirl reflects projectiles, Rocket Charge is a series of short evades and two leap finishers, Shock Shield is a channeled block, and Thunderclap is an AoE stun. Making the best use of all of them will greatly improve your effectiveness.
  • If you have doubts about whether there will be a combo field, you can use Poison Gas Shell from Elite Mortar Kit.
    • Always make sure there is a combo field down when using Rocket Charge as it is a very large portion of your Quickness Quickness generation.

Strong DPS, can tank with minimal toughness, and perma superspeed is just nice to have. Currently the best power quickness support for fast groups in fractals.

I am giving this build 3 stars as of the EoD patch. Impact Savant was gutted, and Scrappers low dps and limited boon sharing can't really compete with the other options available.

While it doesn't quite beat Firebrand in terms of the DPS/Quick role, it's still quite good. I've been enjoying this myself a lot lately.
