Utility

Weapon Variants

  • Offhand Sword deals slightly less damage than Focus, but could be useful if the extra mobility from Advancing Strike would be useful.

Skill Variants

  • Whirling Light could replace Purging Flames:
    • Purging Flames deals slightly more damage, provides a fire field and cleanses conditions, but the boss may move out of it.
    • Whirling Light has 4 whirl finishers, which will cause it to do more damage than Purging Flames if you combo with an ethereal or fire field. It can also be used while moving.
  • Bring Heaven's Palm if you need CC.

Specializations

Specialization Variants

Virtues offers a significant damage boost, but is dependent on maintaining a high uptime of Aegis Aegis which requires skill and will not be practical on many encounters. You should also run Focus.

  • You should run "Advance!" instead of Purging Flames for Aegis Aegis uptime.

General Tips

  1. Cast Shield of Wrath off cooldown.
  2. Cast Purging Flames off cooldown, but it is lower priority than other skills.
  3. Use extra charges of Sword of Justice to fill in gaps where you don't have time for a full auto chain - make sure not to let it reach three stacks!
  4. In the Radiance rotation, use Rushing Justice off cooldown, as it won't line up neatly with the loop as it does in the Virtues rotation.

The Radiance/Zeal variant is a noob trap and it's really inferior to the Virtues/Zeal variant. It really shouldn't be there at all.

The virtues build is the star of the show here, with the ability to do amazing burst damage if it can maintain the bonuses from Unscathed Contender. Otherwise it will typically fall behind dragonhunter.

I run virtues over zeal and i found the build kinda stupid, you really have tons of survability while keeping decent dps because you have very few down time: you can dps constantly thanks to the fact that you never have to dodge or move. I haven't tested numbers and i know it's behind carries like weaver but it allows you to dps in most situations where your team is forced to stop dps.
